Festung Xperience (Festung Dresden)

It is a really nice experience. You get an audio guide and go through the fortress following a very amusing story. The light show, smells and noises are great. It would be much better if the audio guides were offered in other languages (there is only German or English)

This is just brilliant. I felt the American spirit of amusement attractions. Never seen anything like it before in Germany. Could've been a Disney World attraction. You get an audio guide that tracks all your steps and guides you through the exhibition. There story is really cool, but the ending was a little bit disappointing. They work with light shows and smells and the noises are great. I used to go to the Katakomben all the time and the "old way" to be guided wasn't even near as good. Probs to everyone who worked on it!!

This was so mega entertaining and informative and groovy! For the first 5 minutes i thought i might be too old for the (interactive!) audio tour... i was wrong! if you're 8 or 80 you will laugh and learn and see some groovy things. And don't forget to play in the rain

A wonderful idea how to make an old fortress's space in underground interresting. The story was pretty well dubbed. The most interresting technology surprise was how moving in space allowed to hear different actors. To make the story illusion complete I expected also some comments at toilet :-). An experience I recommend!

We went in with no expectations and where wholeheartedly surprised! The audio worked fantastic. Directions and positions where perfectly matched and the actual.story was very nicely transported. Especially the main room was a real nice experience. I went with 2 kids (10, 7) and they enjoyed the hour a lot.

My teen daughter and I enjoyed this exhibit and would recommend it to any Dresden visitor.
Tip: Buy the Schlösserlandkarte for 24 Euros (valid for 10 days) and you can get into tons of different museums in Dresden and Sachsen.

Wow! Just wow! It was a remarkable experience, for me a must-see in Dresden. It presents a brief history of a city in XVII and XVIII century with some important historical events (as death of John George IV, who is our guide as we're trying to figure out how he died). At some moments it feels a bit like playing a computer game in real life. Total visit time is about one hour. Unfortunately audio guides are only in german and english and as the spoken story plays a key role here, you have to have some level of either of this languages to get something out of the visit. The place is great for both children and adults!

Highly recommend if you're visiting Dresden, such an amazing immersive experience, very different from your traditional museum
