Café Pilát

Found this cafe due to Google reviews and its proximity to our hotel. Definitely not disappointed. Everything on the breakfast/brunch menu sounded really nice, but we chose the poached eggs with hummus and the poached eggs with greek yoghurt. They even had decaf tea for my partner, which is rare.

I had a breakfast here on a sunny Monday morning. Cafe Pilat is an awesome place. Tasty food, creative drinks - try dark funeral cappuccino, and amazing service and hospitality. The location is also nice - next to everything, and outside seats have a lovely view!

Visited in early June 2023. What a better meal than pea soup after a visit to the nearby Mendelianum museum.

I've always love the atmosphere of this place and everything they offer.. But just today I found out how to describe their meals. In everything I have tried I tasted exotic tastes mixed with something from my grandmas' cuisine and tastes of my childhood. This uniqueness blows my mind and brings me back for more

Some people would not go for Mediterranean cuisine in Czech Republic but this is a must! We had brunch taking the luculus plate and the Habibi brunch. They were both excellent! Very healthy options, all allergens obviously noted, delicious flavors and great super fast service!

Quiet little coffee shop serving brunch. The specific is middle eastern (?) With dishes like humus, menene or shakshuka. Tasty food, nice English speaking staff. Will revisit!

Best chicken with mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life. The atmosfere is so soothing and service is very pleasant. It way above most places in Brno in all regards. Prices for daily menu are comparable with others. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

All in all, it was a great experience.
We came for lunch and placed an order. Since they didn't have enough portions, the waiter was able to accommodate the offer to our requests and was able to come up with a solution. The food was delicious.
On the contrary note, not all orders were remembered, so we had to wait some extra time after reminding ourselves to the waiter.

Absolutely delicious, super flavourful food. The service is also great, attentive but not overbearing. We loved the seating arrangement (little booth, very comfortable, intimate and cosy). Would definitely go there again!

We had a delicious breakfast, I had the shaksheen and my wife had the yogurt. Both were satisfying and we left feeling full and happy. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, highly recommend.

Oh my god.
I was almost being ready to convert to Vegetarianism.
Then I ate Boar Sirloin (Kančí svíčkovice) and I reverted back.
Can't. You just can't resist this. The sauce flavour and tenderness of meat is too good. Try it!

Eggs with avocado and cheese were all fabulously delicious, as was the Jewish bread. Friendly and attentive service tooin this centrally located quirky cafe. I'd much rather that they didn't keep that poor bird prisoner in that tiny cage though, that wasn't amusing to watch - at least give it a companion and bigger cage!

Really great cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch! I had a shakshuka for breakfast and I was full the whole day.

Great place with original Mediterranean cuisine, delicious coffee, very good wine. Friendly staff. Very nice interieur as well, I can only recommend, my most favourite cafe in the city center.
