Esa Talla

First restaurant for us in Matanzas and we absolutely loved it! The food was delicious (the best Cordon Bleu Pollo in Cuba for us!) and the drinks were amazing. They have really decent exchange rate from CUP to USD/CAD if you don’t have pesos as well, compared to their neighbour bar next door that has pretty ridiculously terrible rates. The staff don’t really speak English so it would be helpful to know a few Spanish words for food to order.

We tried their pizzas🍕 and spaghetti🍝 which were one of the best in Cuba. Drinks were nice too. If in the area go and try their pizza for sure! Service was great too.

One of the top food experiences during our short visit to Cuba was a pizza in this small riverside restaurant. The place was full of local families dining out that looked promising so we squeezed ourselves behind a table made of a pallet and realized that the service was fast and friendly despite of the busy hour and both the food and the Cubanitos were excellent. Highly recommended!

It's a nice place in front of the river in the growing street of Narvaez. I went with a friend and we ate cheese pizza and lemonade. Everything was delicious and we spent less than 10 boxes. The view of the river is pretty nice and the decoration of the place too. We had a great time

An unconventional but a very pleasant ambience, very good food, great drinks and a kindly service! At the Esa Talla you can get a very good pizza, which comes very close to a Pizza Italiana. There is also Caribbean cuisine, which is interpreted and presented a bit differently. The Ropa Vieja tasted very good, but also the chicken rolls.
Thank you so much also for the very fair pricing, which makes it possible that not only tourists can dine there. I really had a good time there so for sure I will gladly come back again.

Best Restaurant in Cuba!

Comida muy fresca, rica y creativa. Servicio de diez. Precio/calidad muy correcto!! Lo recomiendo muchísimo.

Echt top pizza.... Gute und ausgesprochen schöne Speisekarte (Preiskarte in $ vorhanden) mit gutem Angebot... Preise für die Pizza 2 - 5 CUC. Uns hat es sehr gefallen... unerwartet beim entlanglaufen am Ufer ( tolle Kunst Werke sind dauerhaft am Ufer aufgestellt) ein MUSS für Touristen. Und nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Zentrum...Nur junge Kubaner angetroffen die gediegen dort einen Drink und etwas zu essen zu sich nehmen. Sehr stylisch und modern insgesamt.... Endlich mal kein Touristen abkassiert Erlebnis... Toll!

Maravilloso lugar junto al río San Juan, con una vista preciosa del río y muy bonita decoración. Aunque es informal tienen una carta bien surtida, y preparan combinaciones a gusto. Solo que hacía bastante calor, sería mejor si estuviera climatizado.

Un sitio muy recomendable! Buena localizacion, comida rica y muy buen servicio. El pescado es muy fresco 🙂
