Cafe Mambo Jambo

Best place on Matanzas, if not Cuba, for food, drinks and especially, music!! When you're sick of the awful reggaeton constantly playing waaay too loud everywhere, it's refreshing to find a place playing Audioslave, GnR, Led Zeppelin, and proper rock and pop and a good volume. They egen have live band, two amazing young musicians playing the Sunday night I was there. Add to that the fact the served me incredible SUSHI 😳 at 11 pm on a Sunday night, man, you just have to love it.

Earlier in the evening the venue opposite had salsa, rumba and proper dancing in the most Cuban style I've found anywhere on the island. This bar gracefully had their music off , as apposed to other bars usually battling each other for volume.. very appreciated, you could experience true aloha spirit and hospitality.

The staff are friendly and speak a little English if you're in to that. Prices are more than fair, on everything. By far my favourite place in Matanzas

I went here for a few beers and a bite to eat . The owner was a great guy and we chatted for quite some time. The beer was good, and ice cold, and the food was very good. I go to Cuba often, and will definitely be back. If you go, take the owner something for the wall. He loves Metallica, speaks very good English and will keep you chatting and entertained all day. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Really cosy restaurant with delicious food. Personally, the best pasta i ate in hole cuba, with very good prices and amazing service.

Hello we ate at this lovely cafe while touring in Matanza. This is a must do place to see and have a snack or meal if in Cuba! It is so charming and full of personality .... The owners are lovely people, the antique decor and English music were all a part of making this place to eat a wonderful rare find. Prices are so cheap and the food is soooo very very good. Thank you so much to Harold and staff for a lovely meal and a warm experience while in Matanza.

Our go to place in Matanzas for a quick drink and/or bite to eat. Service is always sincere and friendly with reasonable prices. Owner is very kind and helpful. A gem in Matanzas and worth the stop when there.
