Soda La Palmera

This was the best meal I ever had in Costa Rica. The food was amazing, it’s really clean and fresh and awesome people here. The meat and vegetables were tender clean and fresh. Absolutely a must visit. It was so so good!

First time in CR! This is the best place on the way to Pacific coast where you will find a delicious typical food on a very natural environment.
The people are lovely, I feel myself welcomed.
I strongly recommend!

Great little Soda on our way to Tamarindo. Our guide stopped here for lunch when we said we like to stop at places that are less touristy. It seems to be newer. It was very clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and prices were right for a Soda. Most importantly the food was delicious! Would recommend this to anybody looking for a Soda along the way.

We stopped with a large group of about 25 without giving them a heads up, but they were happy to serve us. I got the breaded fish filet dish and it was very fresh and presented well on the plate. We also took advantage of the seating area with the rocking chair and swing while waiting for everyone in our party to finish up. I would have been happy to stay longer and relax.

We went here for lunch, without knowing that it would be so amazing. The place looks very clean (desks, seats, bar, floor, toilet). The service was quick and kind and patient with us as we unfortunately are not so fluent in spanish. Food was delicious, fruits are utterly delicious, we understood that some of them come from the farm behind the soda. The whole staff was amazing. If we come by here again, we will definitely visit you guys again, it was lovely. Hope to see you soon, adios.

Wonderful place, good service and delicious food, I just stopped with my wife in our visit to Costa Rica and we found this an excellent place to have breakfast and lunch, we highly recommend it.

Get the platanos maduros — perfectly cooked! Then get a couple homemade tortillas with beans and some of that delicious soft cheese they’ve got. A perfect vegetarian offering!
