Spent an hour in a line up only to be told their system is not supporting Canadian cards... Whatever that means. Always thought VISA was an international organization.
Go to BCR or Nacional nearby instead - both banks are very good.

AVOID THIS BANK!!!! I came to this back to exchange dollars to colonies. I waited 30 minutes to get called my number and then gave them my USA passport and all the information they requested and after 20 minutes longer they said the way I signed my name was not the same as my passport and they couldn’t exchange the money for me even after I signed my name again. They just wanted me to go to another bank. Lucky my girlfriend has a passport from Peru and after another 30 minutes and Signing 6 times her name and the employee talking with the manager many times they finally exchanged the money. BEWARE if your a tourist in Costa Rica coming to this bank.
