Hotel Refugio is among the most good hotels on the shore of Colombia and. Is a very big establishment which offers different types of services depending on the customer preferences like accommodations food and beverage sauna Jim pool among others which has made very many people like the place and many have wished to get to the establishment just to look at the senary which is there the hotel is full of good vegetation that attracts very many people to go and have some tours onto looking at them

In the Hotel Genésis you can admire the Laguna de Tota, the largest lake in Colombia and enjoy it. The hotel even has a small beach with access to the lake, where its cold water revitalizes you after having some canelazos and hervidos (typical drinks with aguardiente) that help you warm up.

Hotels Are Good But Refugio Genesis Is Class Apart ♥♥

The descent from the main road to the hotel is quite adventurous, but definetly handleable for an experienced driver. The hotel itself is in a good state and the staff constantly work hard go improve it further. For example they inaugurated the brand new sauna and whirlpool for our stay during new years eve.
Our room was also freshly renovated, that one could still smell the paint :-)
The beds were comfy and there were enough warm blankets to get through the quite cold nights of the region. The cabañas even have a chimney so you can enjoy a nice warm fireplace at night!
There is also nice little lagoon where one can enter the lake, but that's only for the most hard suited (water temperature around 10°C).
The food in the restaurant was tasty and in the evening you can play billard and Pingpong inside or watch some movies in the cinema.
Atention for families: right now there is no kids playground, but the hotel staff told us it's on the list of open points and coming soon!
I had some other ideas for improvements and they thankfully added them to the list. They really work hard to make everyone a pleasant stay.

We came down from Canada with my family, spent few days at the Hotel the place is marvelous itself, lots of activities outdoors, wonderful food. Super friendly staff detail oriented. Highly recommended.
