Busy boulevard cafe in the heart of La Serena. Great value almuerzo, 'set lunch'. Solid casuela, today's offer with beef, also Cucumber and tomato salad as starters. Chose the pescado fritto for main course, one with rice, one with papas doradas. Generous portion and perfectly adequate for price. Best thing were the thousand peso pisco sours that are in offer with the lunch. Not super strong but a good little sharpener. If you're in the area, it's a cost-effective meal.
A la carte menu also available with the usual selection of Chilean dishes. Think meats, rice and potatoes with fresh salad and vegetables.
