what a personality and what a house to represent this personality! •|• definitely worth your time and money •|• the personnel is super friendly and take their time to explain how to tour the house plus some extra chat •|• the house itself is a one of one masterpiece of carefully collected objects that are even more carefully brought together •|• the audio guide is perfect as it tells you just enough to understand the persona Pablo Neruda and his thoughts on the design on the house but does not digress into less relevant areas •|• well done! 🏡📖✍🏻📝

It's a big yes. No photos allowed inside.
If you walk from sea level to there, take water with you.
The day when we visited there, toilets where out of service because no water.
Also you must leave luggages to the storage and you gonna need coins for that.

This museum is a must-see of Valparaiso. The audio guides are extremely helpful to understand what we are seeing, and the place itself is astonishing. One of a kind! After the visit I absolutely wanted to know more about Neruda, his work and his life. You won't regret it!

It was a fun adventure taking bus 612 to the top of the Calle Ferrari to see the house where poet Pablo Neruda lived in Valparaiso. It is now a nice museum. The best part was getting the audioguide and listening to his life and achievements. The view from the terrace was great too.

Excellent audio tour through this amazing house. The map was slightly disorienting at first but is much easier once you reach the living room. Very helpful staff on hand to explain things too. I knew Neruda’s name but was not familiar with his work. The design of the house itself justifies a visit, the view out over Valparaiso with the sea breeze coming in will stay with me for a very long time

Locations like this are the reason why i traveled. The history, the passion and dedication to Pablo's craft is amazing. Everything has a meaning a thought. I felt the energy.. the time invested. The price is fair and u get get an audio tour in multiple languages. You have to check it out!

Unique view in the private life of the poet. House with several flores, plenty of original details and equipment. You should borrow a voice guide, that leads you through the whole house.
Marvelous view in the bay and on the port.
Interesting especially for the Czech people, because the name Neruda is originaly name of the #Czech poet and novelist Jan Neruda - living and writing in #Prague in XIX century, he and his work was probably inspiration for Pablo Neruda's pseudonym.

Great view, very interesting tour, if not somewhat short... Bit on the expensive side. Worth it if you're interested in Neruda...

Very nice house! The view from living (and Pablo sofa's) is amazing!
The audio guide is available in French! And well voice spoken :)
In the top of the house, you have the office with an amazing American map drawn and comment by Nicolas de Fer (French royal cartographer) for monseigneur le dauphin de France)
If you know read French, read it! (the border interior of the map)
Students! Don't forget your ISIC card! It's 3 times cheepers with!

It was a beautiful place and i enjoyed the multilingual audio guide systems. It was a bit expensive tho at 1,400 peso per person. But it was a great view from up top. Mind u there are no photos allowed in the house . But all the same we loved it .

Breathtaking views of the water and city. Be warned, it's a decent walk uphill to get here but doable for the average walker. We choose not to visit inside the house and walked around the premise for a bit. Knowing a little about Pablo Neruda and his history, we quickly realized why this place and the city inspired Pablo as the views were breaktaking of the colourful city.

La Chascona is the least pretty and Isla Negra is the most - La Sebastiana is right in between. The tickets are 7000 pesos (about 10 dollars, a bit less) and the house faces the sea and the colorful cerros of Valpo. Near the house are all the famous escalleras, and right next to the museum is a little panaderia that sells perhaps the best empanada de pino I have tasted while in Chile. Enjoy this house, and remember not to take pictures inside!

Brilliant and beautiful museum and house - a great insight into Pablo Neruda's life. There are audioguides in multiple languages, no written alternative but they aren't too overbearing. Great at sunset when the light and views over Valparaiso are perfect.

Is a lovely place great view you get the chance to see how Pablo Neruda lived in Valparaiso, the collections and other great things he has in his house. The old but well maintained Vibe, it has a store a little expensive but nice souvenirs too, we came alone and early so we do not get there with the Turistik bus.
