Basecamp Las Trancas

We had a wonderful stay this August in these cabins right by the ski resort of Nevados de Chillan. They even ordered snow for us - thank you! The cabins as spacious, warm (with central heating and cute log burners we were toasty!) with a good hot water supply, and the kitchen was well equipped. Comfy beds with gorgeous thick duvets too. There's an extra jacuzzzi option in the warmer summer months which I would love to take advantage of if we returned at that time of year, but some amazing ski conditions will do in the meantime! The cabins are on an umade track but it's fine for careful drivers to access without a 4x4 (we had no issues in rain, shine, or snow). Also just a block away from the main village with some lovely cafes, a great bakery, icecream shop etc. The owners were hugely helpful and even helped us book the indoor climbing bouldering wall one morning when it was too snowy to ski (yes that does occasionally happen!). Internet was not an problem, we worked from the cabins just fine every day we were there. Would not hesitate to return, thanks for a fantastic holiday!

Para mí, ideal por la tranquilidad del entorno boscoso (con hamacas), aislación acústica y térmica, equipamiento y espacio de las tres cabañas que posee. Cordialidad de la dueña (Corinne) y cercanía a otros puntos turísticos de interés.

Excelente lugar de descanso, ideal para ir en familia, distancia justa para hacer caminatas o subir a esquiar, todo muy bien cuidado, lo recomiendo 100 por ciento

Excelente. Paz y tranquilidad describen bien el lugar. Se habla ingles ahí, y conocen todo el valle, ayudándote con base en "conocimiento". Ideal para una escapada deportiva.
