Akiva Food

I mainly go for their nice Moldavian Cheese, Latvian butter,
some Armenian drinks and jams,
and thier homemade bulk pickled cucombers.
Their fermented pickles are from heaven, either to chase vodka
or to use it in a sandwich, that pickle is unmatched in GTA!

I don't believe you would be able to find up to 80% of their items in any large supermarket chain. Its true that they are right next to Metro supermarket, however, not only their prices compete with Metro on common items like greens and vegetables, but their inventory is quite large and shelves are full given their square footage. Kudos!
They carry a lot of Mediterranean and European grocery and deli items. More specifically, to challenge the readers geography knowledge in this review; if you are looking for items from the watershed around any of the following three large bodies of water you are sure to score a good deal here, Caspian Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and Black Sea! 👍

Very nice little local food market.

The store is nice, you have a lot of variety to buy. Especially eastern Europe. Sometimes the line are big but it's fine. I like the meet section. Plenty of choice, and the food they prepare are good. The staff are nice.

Nicest people. Store has a deli counter, excellent fruit and vegetables, cookies, jams and other unusual grocery items. Enjoy!
