Trading Post Quality Foods

Told that this place has an amazing selection of produce, meats, spices, sauces and desserts.....and they weren't lying.
When you first walk in you're greeted with cool air and a great selection of locally grown produce. Have a nice selection of local beers and ciders along with liquor and wines. Their bakery section has mouth watering options that were hard to not take home one of.....everything.
The focus though was the meat department....the selection is amazing! You can easily have no plans for dinner, walk in and have every option available and come out with an epic dinner plan.
For the saucy lovers out there, be prepared to have your mind blown. They have wall after wall of sauces to choose from. I could have walked out with an easy half dozen.
There's a section for dog treats, coffee, hot chocolate, candles and soo much more.
Great place to stop in and have your dinner plans fully taken care of from appetizers, dinner and dessert!!

Such a tasty corn beef on a bun sandwich! only $8 and includes a pickle! And great place to bring dogs, with an outdoor area welcoming all dogs :D

Super friendly, helpful staff! Super delicious baked goods - awesome butter tarts! Amazing selection of produce + frozen foods, and - surprise! - an unbelievable selection of craft beers! You really should treat yourself to a visit here!

Gourmet grocery indeed!!

Stopped here by chance and had no idea what I was about to walk into. This place is gorgeous. Before you even walk in, there is a fountain that is frozen over and looks so whimsical for this time of year. They have an assortment of Christmas trees, big and miniature, as well as wooden lawn decorations that are very cute.

Inside is like walking into Narnia lol, i stood and stared for like 5 min before i could explore. It's a whole other level of grocery store. The selection of farm fresh meats, fresh seafood, frozen foods seasonings, fresh bacon, bakery items, produce, desserts, and liquor is out of this world. For an adult, it feels like being a kid in a candy store. They even have gift baskets for the Holidays filled with amazing goodies.

I'm so happy I stopped here and would drive 40 min just to do groceries here. There is no equivalent. I purchased our first real tree (miniature), and the children love it!!

To give you a sense of how cool this place is and the quality of their produce and other food, I have made the 45 minute trip SEVERAL times just to buy the Garlic Mango Chicken Kabobs. No shame! Of course, I always leave with more than I planned. It’s easy to drop a large amount of money here, but the quality of the food (locally sourced meats) and the service experience is worth it to me. Some may deem it’s pricey, but watch their website for weekly sales, which can be substantial. Never understaffed, and always a pleasant experience. Kudos to the management and staff for excellent quality and service.

We always make the detour to stop by this place on our way up to our cottage. They have such a great butcher. We have tried a lot of things and have never been disappointed. They also have such a wide variety of other items available from fresh produce, lcbo items, bakery, coffee pods, and every frozen item you can imagine.

I took my aunt and uncle for a drive to Port Perry and we stopped in at The Trading Post. Wow! This is my kind of store!

The selection and quality of their products really appeals to me. They have farm fresh produce, amazing fresh meats and seafood, gourmet sauces and seasonings, coffee, wine, friendly staff, and so much more!

They have a great deal on a Corned Beef Sandwich - only $5.00 with the pickles!!! They were not shy with the meat! That's my kind of meat/bread ratio! It was really good and not salty.

I love this place and I wish they were closer to home but I will definitely return!

Came yesterday with my daughter to pick up a few things. Food selection and quality was excellent. We tried the burgers with onions, mushrooms and cheese, fantastic! Best of all is the great service you receive from everyone that works there. Keep up the great work!

it was recommended by a friend. They always get sandwiches and drinks while taking breaks from their bike riding. The store is very clean. Staffs are very friendly. They greeted me the minute I walked in. They sell a variety of things. I really enjoy shopping there. I already recommended this place to my friends!! love it.

Weekly visits are a must at this location. Can’t say a bad thing about it. The staff is friendly, the selection is outstanding and the food quality is out of this world. Check their website for specials. Will (and will continue to) visit again and again.

We discovered that the Trading Post has Buttermilk Biscuits from Lazy Daisy’s Cafe in the freezer section! We have been to Lazy Daisy’s Cafe and the food is fresh and amazing. We bought the Country Ham & Spring Onion variety. Wow! They were like eating a quiche only in biscuit form. Super to see a product like this gourmet biscuit at the Trading Post!

Again what a great place to visit by from variety of selection stop always Pleasant polite professional.

I live in Oshawa but I find myself driving out here with my wife meat department is awesome are sandwiches are awesome reflection is awesome pricing can be a little higher than what I find in a normal chain grocery store bought overall still worth it.
Also the store support local and Ontario Farms which is a priority right now.

I have been going here for years and telling everyone. I love that they have a unique little gift section too. THIS is where I found those great scrubby pot cleaners AND the candles with wood wicks!!).

The butcher area is always packed but they recently separated their butcher area into two areas so that makes it easier. The cashing out area has just had a revamp and I did find it a lot faster. Still crowded, but easier to get in/out.

They have a nice selection of LCBO items. They also have pastries from large servings to a single serving you can easily eat in the car without having to take home and share with others .... (That doesn't apply to the alcohol ...)

I must add that their vegetables are always fresh. You never see spoiled strawberries or mold on the cauliflower. (Listen, ladies, that makes THIS place the chosen for when your husband is asked to go buy something. How many times has he returned with moldy strawberries saying "you said you wanted strawberries" followed by your response "yes, but only if they were fresh". So, this is a win here. And don't come at me, I mean no disrespect only a little comic relief for those that know the struggle is real.)

Last week on the BBQ we had mango chicken kabobs and steak kabobs. Ready made. They were approximately $15 a kabob but they were HUGE! No one can eat that much meat at one sitting. So .... we had it in wraps the next day. Delicious.

Their dog friendly area beside the store and water bowl make this a great location.

Great fruit and veg. Beer, wine and spirits. Fresh-baked goods.Great meat, and a lot of frozen items means I can shop for groceries here, without giving the Loblaws thieves any more of my money!

Always impressed with the quality of food and the fact they don’t promote PUFA’s in their products (aka seed oils). Staff are fast, friendly and efficient! And you can’t beat the view of cows when you exit. Love love love Trading Post! Totally worth the drive for me.

Love the variety of the products available. It's conveniently located and has become my go to store for things such as fruits, vegetables, meats, and Keurig tea pods.

One of The Absolute BEST Places I have come across for Everything Culinary you could imagine (All-manner of Sauces, Butcher+, Fresh, local-grown Fruit -&- Produce, LCBO/Beir/Local Brews +, Cheeses, Artisan Bread(s) + + + + +) -&- to top it all off: Friendly, relatable & knowledgeable Staff who greet you w/ a Smile, legitimate good will -&- Much more. Highly Recommended. ( this is my 5th Visit....and I will be coming back.....Often as I can ;-)

Wow, this was our first time there and I'm glad we stopped! We will definitely become regulars. They seem to literally have everything including high end wine, beer and mixed drinks.

WARNING!!! If you think you're going in here for one or two items, you're sadly mistaken...make room in your pantry and freezer!

We've been shopping here for just over a year now. The butcher counter is phenomenal with fresh products that they'll vacuum seal for you or are frozen already. Add in the fresh fruit and vegetables, bread section and pre-made meal section and this is a one stop shop. There's also an abundance of specialty items...too many to list. You will pay a slight premium here, but it's well worth it and when items go on sale, they're a great deal so check the website for weekly specials.

Every staff member we've met in every department is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Writing a review doesn't do this place any justice, you just have to go in and see for yourself.

As seasons change they change their decor this is there Winter/Christmas season front display how welcoming and beautiful.
So as you enter the store TiP** you might want to grab a cart! You start off in the fresh produce section all local walk through to their LCBO section (LOVE the "one stop shop" for gifts or dinner plan) amazing selection of oils and sauces to pick from, fresh bakery section... on but then you walk into the deli section.. OH the DELI section yes the quality and taste will definitely have you coming back for more.. TIP they will season and vacuum seal your packages! Hello! LOVE IT! oh but next .. the seafood section 😋 they cover it all! Fresh! They have a huge frozen food section also .. with great selection of Kawatha Ice Cream .. I missed mentioning the little coffee nook they have on the other side of the deli .. it has everything for those coffee lovers! LoVe all the cool gift ideas and things they have here.
Lastly, they have such a beautiful back drop for your "selfies" while out on your road trip!
