Very positive experience shopping with 401 games online. Their website is easy to navigate and the customer service response time is very quick. New to their loyalty program but looking forward to shopping more with them and taking advantage of the loyalty program perks.

I've never been here, but I've made several orders over the years, and I just have to say how amazing this store is!
I ordered a book yesterday, and got it today! Shipping is usually fast, but this was really great.
And they don't skimp on packaging! Book was wrapped in paper, sandwiched between two layers of bubble wrap, and in a well sized box. Very impressed every time!

I made my order Tuesday night and my package came in Thursday afternoon. Real great service. It was packaged real well. Thank you for the extra packs you sent me. Looking forward to making my next order in the near future.

Great prices and excellent customer service!

I had some items on order, waiting to be fulfilled, when a sale came out a few days later for those same items. I emailed them about it, and they kindly adjusted my order for the sale prices and allowed me to add more to the same order, so I wouldn't have to pay more for shipping! :)

This is my go-to place for whenever I need to buy board games and my Marvel Champions LCG hero packs and expansions (the best prices in the world). Their service is awesome and addresses concerns quite swiftly. I had an issue a few months back where someone with the same name as me picked up my stuff along with her own stuff so it looked like I already picked up my packs even though I haven't yet. The staff here investigated it and went through their CCTV to verify that it wasn't me and replaced my whole order. It took some time in my day (since I thought I'd just be picking up and leaving promptly) but it was worth it to know how diligent they are in solving a customer's issue.

This is a long-overdue customer review from Ottawa.

I discovered 401 Games early in 2024 on the internet. I was first very impressed by how 99% of the games they sell are much better priced compared to Amazon or any other board game stores in Ottawa, including some of the big franchises.

Because I live in Ottawa, I have only been able to order online and choose the delivery option. A few things impressed me further. First, the way they package the games in the shipping box is amazing. They understand the nature of the products they sell. I've never seen a retail store using this much care in packaging to ensure safe delivery of the games without any damage to the box, even if they are sending a small replacement piece. Secondly, the time it takes for me to receive it in Ottawa from the moment I place the order is amazing as well. If I order between Monday and Thursday, it arrives the next day. Yes, to qualify for free delivery, one must order a minimum of $165 before tax, but for the care and quick delivery, it is a reasonable requirement. Otherwise, the shipping fee is only $10.95, which is very cheap as well.

Now, above all the impressions I've mentioned so far, the reason for me to leave this review, and I am not really a person who leaves reviews on Google, is their customer service. You just cannot find this great care for customers in Canada nowadays. Not only is the customer service team super prompt at responding to an inquiry, but the tone and the solutions they suggest sometimes surprise me, making me think that this type of customer care is not available in Canada. Let’s be honest, we often do not get good customer service in Canada; the only best I can think of is Amazon, and that is because of their company direction to provide those solutions they provide. But the care I've been receiving from 401 Games, I feel, is more than just following some company manuals; it shows dedication and a willingness to work with the customer within the boundaries of what they can do.

I've now become a silver member. It only took less than three months... yes, I am starting a new hobby with my wife and my friends, which led me to order many games in a short period, but if it wasn't for their amazing pricing, amazing shipping, and amazing customer care...

Just try this store and maybe get a chance to interact with their customer support team.

I would love to one day visit their store in person with my wife the next time we travel to Toronto.

Ordered like a dozen times now from 401 games past few months. Their selection and prices are quite good! Staff is amazing to deal with, last order had a missing item and was no big deal to get it fixed. Highly recommend this store!! Thank you!

I don't live close to a brick and mortar location so my experience is largely interacting with the online store and occasionally support. The web store works well and the shipping is really fast and well packaged. I've had some orders with a variety of sizes and weights in the same package and they've always been placed well to prevent shifting and with far more protective material than you'd see from other places. When I've reached out to support for help with something, they have always been very courteous and professional and have done well to help me out. I'll say the one or two times I've been to a physical location have been great experiences too.

I bought online and was looking for a specific version of ticket to ride for 6 players. Most places didn’t have it so I assume that they have a great selection of games. It was mailed promptly, arrived quickly and boxed without wasting material yet well protected. The price with the postage was very competitive.
I’ll certainly buy from them again.

Came here to pick up the Gale Force Nine Dune board game with my partner, ended up walking out with 5 sets of board games! Only negative is, you may walk out with more than you came for!

The staff was amazingly helpful; particularly Armando & Nick. Armando was exceptionally passionate and really helped us out since we are still beginners to many board games but he made it less intimidating and we are now more than equipped to keep getting into this hobby.

There seems to be no commission and even if there is, its not a problem for me. Even pricing out the items, you are getting amazing prices where Amazon may be selling for double the price, and on top of that, the amazing staff here can answer a lot of questions you may have that you may not get as easy on Amazon.

During checkout, Nick was amazingly pleasant and it just made our first experience more than amazing. Definitely got us as returning customers and great place for either veterans of board games (they have a large area in the middle for all sorts of games going on, I believe you’ll have to check their website for what events are going on), but if you’re new to the hobby, it’s also a great place to start as well! And you should know you’re getting one of, if not the lowest prices you’ll find around the GTA?

Overall, just wanted to give a shout-out to those who helped us out and for any people interested, these are the places where you shouldn’t be timid and just ask away!

I’ve never been in store, but I have ordered from here through their online platform and the customer service is honestly the fastest and most reliable I’ve ever seen. Ryan was able to help me out with reply times less than 5 minutes over multiple messages. He was super friendly and quelled any concerns I had. I placed a large order last spring, with lots of expansions, for a milestone birthday surprise for my husband. Because he got so many expansions, we’re still working through opening and playing some of them now! When we recently opened a couple of the Catan expansions from that order and discovered missing components, 401 customer service was excellent and promptly shipped out our replacement pieces with no hassle, despite the intervening time.

This is a fantastic store. I've ordered several games from them, and they always arrive quickly. They've got a great array of games, for every taste. They're also super easy to deal with and respond to emails quickly. I had to cancel an order because I ordered the wrong expansions for a game, and they canceled it with no issues. Been ordering from them for a few years and I've never had a single issue. They have an awesome loyalty program, and now that I've spent enough, my tax is basically paid for. The free shipping method has always gone smoothly, it's well packaged (and you get a free hard sleeve!) The prices are fair compared to others on the Canadian TCG market. The stock is really good. This website is perfect for Canadians who need singles. I have yet to go to the physical location but it's on the to do list next time I go up the 401.

This place is massive! The variety of games and products they have on site is something to obsess about while coming to visit. I was able to go on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy with people playing all sorts of card games and a couple of board games. The staff were plenty and available to help. I asked a few questions and they were extremely knowledgeable. I walked out happy with my purchase, knowing it was the best price in the market.
