One of the best restaurants in Port Perry. We walked in for dinner on a weekday without a reservation and got a table. We ordered Mac and cheese. The best I have had and it felt like a hug. The Marsala chicken and vegetarian shawarma wrap was delicious. The lavender cocktail was perfect for the dinner. Very friendly service, good atmosphere and they also have a social bar next door. Lots of options to choose from. Highly recommend when in Port Perry

Had a fantastic Mother’s Day lunch at Marwan’s. The starter mussels were succulent and served in a flavourful coconut curry sauce. Both the Thai red curry with chicken and home-made gnocchi in a rose sauce were delicious Our server Kat was very welcoming and really made my Mother’s Day lunch special. Great food and atmosphere. Check it out when Port Perry.

During my recent visit to Marwan's Global Bistro, I was truly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The ambiance was inviting, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal.
For our main courses, we opted for the Thai Mango Chili Rainbow Trout and the Great Canadian Lamb Burger, and both dishes were nothing short of excellent.
The service at Marwan's was outstanding. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great dining experience.

Really enjoyed this, lives up to the reviews! I had the vegan burger with a vegan lentil soup. The bun was very soft and fresh. Likely a light life burger patty. Well staffed as well for this region, fast service. The staff also seem really happy as well (perhaps speaks to their management) despite it being the cold winter. Lovely place for a stop. Unlike most places that make vegan options as without any protein, some thought was put in to make these properly balanced meals.

Prices are maybe like a Toronto average price but you get what you pay for. I would come back. They have an extensive cocktail menu which looks great.

First time at Marwan's and it was a good experience. I ordered the rainbow trout as my main course and all the flavours were there. The trout was nicely cooked and the meal was at a good temperature. The place is very clean and the staff make sure of it. For dessert I had their cheesecake and unfortunately I wasn't a fan of it. I prefer my cheesecake to be smooth but this one had a grainy consistency to it. My girlfriend ordered the chocolate lava cake and that was delicious! I'd definitely come back if I were to be in town again and explore their menu even more.

What a fantastic spot! We’re staying in Port Perry for a couple of nights and visited Marwan’s for the first time yesterday…. I’m still thinking about those Meatballs and fresh baked bread!! A big thank you to Steph and the bar team for highlighting their favourite menu items and guiding us through the MANY delicious wine options. Both the service and food were an absolute 10/10. Can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great little place to go to in Port Perry, especially sitting out on the patio in the summer. The food is excellent! We tried a number of things including their wings (great Buffalo sauce), chicken tinga tacos and the cheese burger. I was really impressed with the burger, great flavor/texture and cooked perfectly!

I’m not from Port Perry , I stopped by “ the old flame “ not realizing that they didn’t have a kitchen, enjoyed a pint there and the bartender suggested I try Marwans.. it was actually fantastic, butter chicken was delicious. Light and creamy! Highly recommend it!! Servers are amazing! I’ll be back soon!!

If you are in Port Perry, highly recommend that you visit Marwan's for lunch. May need reservations in the summer when the traffic volume is extremely high. Located downtown and a five minute walk to Lake Scugog. Great food and service. Dining room on one side and a bar on the other, bar is not opened for lunch. Free street parking, if you can find one.

Took a day trip out to Port Perry and stopped at Marwans for lunch, the food was 10/10. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone in the area!!

I got the Chipotle chicken panini and it was so delicious. It came with a cheddar soup which was perfect for a cold day. My mother got the warm goat cheese salad, which she said she enjoyed minus the fact the goat cheese was wrapped in pastry.

Food was delicious… we didn’t leave a crumb on our plates! Service was very friendly. It was busy but not too loud. We will def be back! Thanks for a lovely dinner. :)

Great little place with a dual personality! Port Social bar to the left, Marwan's Bistro to the left. The menu has something tasty for everyone, big or small! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the kitchen service pretty quick. Head over and have yourself the Carne Tacos - yum!! 🌮

Hi, I am the owner of this restaurant and I manage this business profile however, Google will not help me verify this account so I must respond to other reviews in this format. There are two separate two-star reviews on here that are incorrectly posted on this restaurants page. The older one describes a restaurant down the street called saffron which does shawarma on the spit, which we clearly don't do and the second is of a restaurant on water Street that has a patio open which we do not until May 1st every year. This is quite frustrating as these are terrible reviews that have nothing to do with our business. I just felt like a response was necessary as my ones Global Bistro and the poor social are two of the best eating establishments in Durham with amazing atmosphere, service and exceptional food.

A great find as we explore Port Perry this weekend. Appreciate them checking our vaccine certificates. Enjoyed the sumptous food, comfy place and the pleasant staff. We ordered PEI mussels in spicy Italian tomato sauce, Bruschetta Flatbread, award winning old flame and cheddar soup, roast rack of lamb, grilled chicken linguine al feed and upside down pear cake. We definitely will come back soon.

Happy we finally tried Marwan’s. After living in the Port Perry area for almost a decade and never having tried I think we’ve missed out. At least we know it’s terrific. Great food, good drinks and the dessert is top notch too. Can’t wait to go back.
