This place makes the best Chinese food in the region by a significant margin. It’s always very fresh and high quality which is why almost every person I saw at the restaurant was ordering the same Chinese combo.

Quality: 5/5 Superb. Easily the best in town. Pork has a light crisp to it so you know it’s not reheated. Everything tastes fresh. Very balanced flavours.

Speed: 4/5 15min wait but that’s reasonable given the quality.

Value: 4/5 The portion sizes are decent for an $18 combo. About average for this region.

Atmosphere: 3/5 A bit awkward. Very small inside and no front counter so you walk in and start hunting for a table. It feels cramped. Things are very compact due to the layout. Finding parking this area can be difficult; street parking only. It was a very cold day outside and it was a bit chilly inside.

Love this Cafe. Been enjoying their taste food for quite literally decades ! Stopped in for lunch recently-- did NOT disappoint- delish as ever. John and Micki continue to provide wonderful food with a diverse menu to the "regulars" and new guests alike. 😋

Good food, very friendly and attentive staff, very nice vibe. Don't get me wrong, this is not a gourmet restaurant, it is good diner food served fresh. We had breakfast, eggs done as we ordered them, excellent, juicy sausages, nice thick, tasty bacon. The hash browns looked to be baked potatoes that had been grated and fried, which is what I like. A little bland perhaps, but not greasy, next time I'll ask for onions. The sourdough toast was good, jam on the side. Unlimited coffee. All for $11.00 and change, can't beat that. Lots of regulars, all greeted by name.
While we were there I noticed a sign talking about a Chinese food special. Sounded good, I will have to give it a try, they offer takeout.

I had a breakfast wrap with hash potatoes and bottomless coffee for about $18 plus tax and tip. Wrap and potatoes tasted good, large portions I couldn't finish. Coffee was very good. Service was good too.
UPDATE: I have visited once a week or so for the last nine months. Every meal has been tasty, and the staff are top notch, and greet me by name. Highly recommended.

Has been a trusted old time cafe in our town for many years…the Chinese special every day is so good and a huge amount of food so be prepared to take home the leftovers!! The waitresses are always wonderful and very good at their jobs - excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner - highly recommend!!

I’ve been eating here for years. Top notch service, Consistent, delicious food and behemoth proportions. You haven’t been to Duncan unless you’ve been to the Corner House! I officially give them an extra star…⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent little diner - independent diners like this seem to be less and less common, and are probably my favorite type of restaurant... I fully endorse the breakfast options here!

I've been going here for 11 years. I go there a lot, but not as often as I would like. It's a great little place and the folks that run it are super nice. Breakfast is good, crab cake benedict is my favourite, and the lunch specials are delicious. Good coffee too.

Definitely will be going back...AWESOME place to eat at very reasonable prices...

This place has great tasty food and options! More importantly, the staff are amazing. I feel at home here. They will happily greet you and genuinely ask how you are. They care. That's why I come. Plus their breakfasts are great.
