I have recently asked Matt of Red Feather Horticultural Service to help me with our residential landscaping which includes three garden beds, water feature, selecting and planting trees and border plants. Matt has been exceptional in his customer service and professionalism. He is prompt in getting back to me and all of his communication has been clear and well detailed. I explained the look I was going for with respect to the gardens and trees and Matt provided images along with suggestions that would flourish in our yard. He figured out pretty quick the look I was going for and gave me options to choose from.
Matt is very down to earth, knowledgeable and confident, and at no point is he pushy or impatient. You can tell he knows his plants, trees and water features. He backs up his recommendations with facts and photos that support why he feels certain landscaping options are best for the area. We needed a new bed put into our front yard, and they not only did the work exactly as we had hoped, but also cleaned out and fixed up two other beds that really needed it. Matt and Chris did a spectacular job of transforming our back garden doing everything from cleaning up compost pile, building a brick planter, removing fencing and replacing a rotten panel. Matt's suggestions for the new plantings were excellent. Roll on Spring!

Matt and his crew were very knowledgable, professional and friendly. Had some great suggestions for our yard, did all the tasks we asked in an hour and a half. Very tidy, efficient and we will have them back again when the weather warms up. Very reasonable 5 stars for them!!

Matt was great. After I first contacted him he came promptly to look at our garden and assess our needs and the problems of the location. Then he told us why the trees we had in mind would NOT work there. Then he found some trees that WOULD work, that are much larger than the ones we were going to buy on our own from a nursery, AND at the same price or less! When his crew came to plant them they dug the holes into hard, rooty soil in no time.

I was really disappointed with the crew that was sent. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to have them rake the debris from my garden. I wanted native plants and I had told them to transplant from my garden and yet they went and bought a bunch of Oregon grape that’s literally popping up everywhere. Matt may know his stuff, but the crew couldn’t answer hardly any questions about the names of plants. It would have been way cheaper to hire a babysitter to watch my kids while I raked the ground. Very disappointed with the results. I was surprised by all the positive reviews (which is why I went with them). Perhaps it was a new training crew that got sent? Won’t be using them again or referring anyone to them.
