So much to say. The food was amazing! The cabins and facilities were simple yet so comfortable, clean and cozy. I was there during an amazing fall week and enjoyed some of the hiking trails and outdoor spaces. Liz and the team at Sugar Ridge made me feel at home, at peace and nourished.

I had a simply transformative experience at Sugar Ridge. Liz and the entire team were warm, welcoming and incredibly generous in all aspects of the stay. I attended a juice cleanse, learned a lot, met lovely people and experienced huge health benefits (that still carry on 3 months later and counting). This was a game changer for me (and now my family). I'm very glad Sugar Ridge exists. Thank you Liz and all the many people that made the week so special.

This was my third time at Sugar Ridge. Last o was there 10 years ago. Although some time has passed, I was so glad to see that the services received are still the same high quality. The place is beautiful, peaceful, inviting relaxation. The little cottages are cozy, comfy and clean, but most of all, secluded in the woods, among the trees, which further invites one to disconnect, breathe and relax.
The retreats they offer and the facilitators are wonderful. These yoga instructors have a lot of experience, they “read the room”, get to know the people in their class and offer a program geared to what the needs are in the room.

Now let’s talk about food. They offer vegan food, which might sound scary so some of you ( I know it did to me), but it is great! Delicious, varied, plentiful. Many of us left with their cookbook under our arms, in an attempt to bring some of the deliciousness home with us.
To sum it up, it is a wonderful place where one can rest and decompress, eat nutritious food, meet wonderful, interesting people, contemplate and recharge. Highly recommended.

I just attended a 5 day silent meditation retreat at Sugar Ridge. The accommodations are perfectly simple and cozy, the vegan food delicious, and the experience transformative. Many thanks to Liz and her friendly team.

My wife and I attended the single-day retreat with Liz. Liz was an excellent facilitator. Very relatable, and very apparent how connected she was with her practice.

There were lots of accessible tools for practice. Bolsters, blocks, and seats to accomodate longer meditations- bassically so you feel comfortable the entire time which I did.

The food...oh the food. It was amazing. Vegetarian by nature, and included all of our food sensitivities. The chef, I can't remember his name, was kind and accomodating too.

Overall I would certainly return to this location and recommend it to those looking for a quiet getaway.

The Sugar Ridge yoga and meditation retreat was everything I hoped for and I am so grateful for it as my first retreat experience.

It was down to earth, warm and welcoming, and nourishing. Liz has things set up in such a thoughtful way from the core things down to the small details that one could genuinely relax without needing to worry about a thing and being able to pick and choose from an abundance of spaces, activities, and foods that speaks to your needs and inspiration in the moment.

The itinerary had a mix of everything I wanted to explore and Jenny was the perfect guide. She taught with calmness, reciprocating vulnerability, and touches of light humour. It had energizing and calming yoga at the times of the day I needed it the most. We practiced stillness and mindfulness through meditation. And we had an introductory length of a silence retreat for a day. I appreciated the touches of scientific and spiritual explanations of the practices, which I was quite curious about. I have definitely come out grown more to be the person I want to be.

The space itself was very clean and simple in a comforting way. At times the cabin with its multiple beds and being surrounded by trees felt playful, this is what playing pretend as a child would have been like but it's real! The small library also called on my child-like love of books and I was so glad it was there. The food was delicious and creative.

The group I was with was so lovely. I felt connected from the very first day: I was grateful and pleasantly surprised at the level of vulnerability people have expressed when they wanted to share and the respect towards those who wanted to keep things more internal. Everyone was equally included in the group at their own pace and space. I have so much respect for their life stories and still smile at the joyous and funny moments we shared. That made this retreat really come to life and brought another layer of meaning.

Thank you so much Liz, Jenny, and the whole Sugar Ridge team. Thank you to my retreat group!

Amazing location for a rejuvenating personal retreat. Liz and Kurt and all the staff are amazing. The food is healthy and delicious. I was able to focus, meditate, write, and just let go of all my stress. The location allows beautiful nights of stargazing or daytime walking from the property all the way to the natural preserve at Wye Marsh. I went for a personal “writers retreat” but there were group programs happening at the same time and all the participants seemed to be having a good time.

We had an amazing experience at the Sugar Ridge retreat. Liz’s property is beautiful and the fall colours looked gorgeous. The yoga and mindfulness sessions by Jenny were sooo good!
The vegan food was delicious, and we met an awesome group of people!
Such a great place to unwind - We surely recommend the retreat! This was our first yoga retreat and we will definitely go back again soon :)

I signed up for a weekend retreat as a spur of the moment thing a week before the event and wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was an incredibly relaxing and re-energizing weekend of yoga and meditation with a group of incredible people, both staff and guests.

Despite not being vegan or vegetarian myself, I absolutely LOVED the vegan food we were given.

I am certain I’ll be going back to Sugar Ridge again to try another of their many retreats and I’d recommend it to almost anyone looking for a great escape from their regular routine for a little while!

I have stayed 4 times at this amazing retreat centre. The accommodations are simple and comfortable, the food is amazing and the staff are always accommodating and welcoming. The grounds have numerous trails and you can even sit and enjoy a lovely campfire.
Sugar Ridge is my happy place and I try to get there as often as possible!

I recently went to a meditation retreat at Sugar Ridge and I was blown away with how amazing it was. From start to finish I felt so welcomed and at home in this wonderfully cozy and beautiful atmosphere Liz and her team have created. The food was absolutely delicious (I'm not vegan but I bought the cookbook because the food was so wonderful and it will help me eat cleaner) and the meditation and yoga experiences were mind-opening and extremely relaxing. The cabins were clean and comfortable and it was just so nice to be out in nature. I cannot recommend Sugar Ridge highly enough. I think everyone would benefit from a relaxing retreat at Sugar Ridge.

If you’re on the fence, considering whether or not to book a retreat here, all I can say is DO IT!!! I recently did the three day yoga glow retreat with Jennifer and everything was amazing from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. I met some wonderful people and found what I was looking for in my journey. The food was amazing g, the staff was very accommodating. Everything was clean and the grounds were beautiful. I will definitely be back!

I was at Sugar Ridge Resort for a yoga retreat in March 2018 and I really enjoyed it. The cabins were great, the beds are very comfortable, the duvets amazing. The windows in the cabin where I stayed were huge, I felt as if I slept in the forest, not inside. This was wonderful.
The food for our stay was vegan and even though I am not vegan, I really enjoyed it. The kitchen is very large and open into the eating area, so we could observe with how much love and care our food was prepared. The sauces were made from scratch and were delicious.
The hike in the woods, bon fire, yoga, friends, great food and accommodations - what a wonderful weekend this was. I highly recommend this resort and would love to come back again.

Great spot to get away for a few days and reset/detox from stress, delicious Vegan food, friendly & experienced teachers/staff, great trails and cabins. I would come back sometime even though I thought the retreat I went on was a bit expensive it was so worth it and was a small group of only about 8 of us. I felt like a brand new person coming home was so calm, the energy of this place is unreal! (In a good way). 🙂🙏

Last weekend was my second visit to Sugar Ridge and I loved it even more than my first! There is a calming, healing energy to this wonderful place thanks to Liz and Kurt. I was touched by Liz's warmth and compassion. The cabins are cozy, I met some new friends, and the food is out of this world!! Can't wait to try some of the recipes from their cookbook. After a weekend of hiking, yoga and mindful meditation I have returned home feeling refreshed and renewed. I can't wait to join Liz on her Asia retreat in the fall :)

This was my first time ever doing something like this. I came over the weekend for the Wellness Within: Retreat to Nourish your Mind, Body & Spirit. It was an amazing experience. I learned so much and I found so much peace. Jenny is an awesome instructor and person. My body was relaxed down to my fingers. And Katie is an amazing chef! Food was delicious 🤤

What a wonderful, safe, positive experience at Sugar Ridge.

First time to a retreat, and it was everything I expected, and more.

Our instructor, Laurin Wolf, was as positive a presence as there could be.

And the setting can’t be beat.

Highly recommend Sugar Ridge and Laurin !

This was the most amazing experience! Laurin was the most beautiful soul and led us through an unforgettable weekend of self growth and bonding. The facility itself is cozy and inviting and super clean! The food was great as well. Highly recommend to anyone to visit and enjoy everything this retreat has to offer. 💕

I just returned from another amazing Sugar Ridge Yoga/Mediation/Ski Retreat. The first time I went was May long weekend 2017. I loved it so much I stayed an extra day. This time was even more perfect! The snow was light and falling softly most of the time I was there. Which was perfect because I got out skiing at Wye Marsh and snowshoeing on their beautiful property over looking Georgian Bay Marsh. This place really does feel like home. The cabins and bed are superbly comfortable. Liz is a kind and caring facilitator with a quirky sense of humour and she is deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of yoga and mediation and just life in general! Kurt, although I didn't see much of him, I know he is in the background doing what he does best! They are there for their guests 100%! The food is amazingly delicious!!. Everything just tastes so good and they are so accommodating on food issues. I am very happy they came out with a cook book. Now I have their secrets in one perfect book! I also, went on a Yoga Retreat with Liz in September 2017 to Morocco! It was such and incredible trip. Liz chose the best places and everything was organized to the T! I am planning on going on one of her next ones too! I left Sugar Ridge just 24 hours ago and I can't wait to go back. I must try all 4 seasons. Although I don't think I can ever top winter! Thank YOU so much Liz and Kurt ~ <3 Namaste <3
