An excellent area to see a panoramic view of the town of Peace River from a high vantage point. I can imagine this site would be an incredibly beautiful place during a warm summer night with clear skies and gentle breeze. I can't imagine a much more scenic place to be laid to rest than the Twelve Foot Davis Gravesite.

Great view of the town and junction of the Peace River and Smoky River

A very pleasant surprise. A tiny bit off the main road but well worth the time and effort. The confluence of the Smokey and Peace rivers make for beatiful backdrop for photos. 12 foot Davis story is great and i see why he wanted to be burried there. The day i went the weather was phenomenal and early fall. I would love to see the view at every season. I will return if i am ever in the area again.

Get views of the town of Peace River and surrounding area. There are several picnic tables. Wildlife is known to be around the area, including bears, so don't leave garbage laying around.

Awesome view of the river valley. If you find your way to Peace River, please visit this tourist site for a scenic panorama of the river valley. It is serene and you will love it.

Great place. Overlooks all peace River. Very relaxing.
My only recommendation is a washroom is needed. Highly recommend!

About Peace River

Peace River, originally named Peace River Crossing and known as Rivière-la-Paix in French, is a town in northwest Alberta, Canada. It is along the banks of the Peace River at its confluence with the Smoky River, the Heart River and Pat's Creek. It is approximately 486 kilometres northwest of Edmonton and 198 kilometres northeast of Grande Prairie on Highway 2. It was known as the Village of Peace River Crossing between 1914 and 1916. The Peace River townsite is nearly 1,000 feet below the relatively flat terrain surrounding it. source
