Love this spacious place. Especially enjoyed going in for delicious homemade soups made by Jamie. Wonderful visually interesting ambience with art work and antiques for sale. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunches. Any day til 3pm but closed Tuesday. And sometimes on Sundays they have live acoustic guitar jammers offering beautiful folk songs/music.

The food was delicious (we both had the Eggs Benedict) and the atmosphere was super cute. Fun collection of general store items + antiques.

Neat little place, kind of like an old school “mercantile” meets turn of the century “general store” type place, that conveniently hits the niche market for people who like a.good quality, reasonably priced breakfast. Came in, ordered two coffees today (Sunday, 23 July 2023) and sat outside under the awning. The folks working were very pleasant. Got two good brewed coffees for the price of one “fancy” corporate chain drink. We would visit again.

Thanks.

Recently had lunch with friends at this gem of an eatery.
The food was delicious and the portions were generous and reasonably priced. We will definitely return for more of the same.

Enjoyed a quiet lunch here. Great atmosphere surrounded by antiques and local history. Reasonable prices as well nice selection on the menu. All the friendliness you'd imagine in a small town. Had a classic BLT 😊. Good selection of teas as well. Will be back.

Great little gem. Food was great home cooked style, and staff was helpful and friendly. Historic feeling atmosphere with purchasable antiques too! Definitely undervalued!

This is a great little General Store. The staff and owners are absolutely amazing they make you feel very welcome. It's a great place to take the kids for ice cream because they have quite a number of Flavours and if you're unsure what they taste like they will give you a sample. They also have breakfast in the morning with very reasonable prices and good food.

Excellent spot for Breakfast. Very friendly staff, bright open space, excellent coffee and breakfast. Great stop just off of the bicycle trail. Ice cream too!

Really nice place with a vintage feeling. One can have a quick bite to eat here, or icecream in summer. While waiting to be served, I suggest to take a look at the pawnshop items, you'll be surprised what can find here, or if you need a part for your plumbing fix... This is also the place to get it.

There is a wonderful feel to the Village Mercantile, a piece of history from the time when 'lumber was king'. Hearty, home-cooked breakfasts and lunches are served up by the owners Brenda and Gary amid the antiques and curiosities available for purchase. The Village Mercantile is reason enough to visit Victoria Harbour! It's our Sunday go-to for breakfast. Try it. You will enjoy it.

The store has a very rustic feel to it,like going back in time when you walk through the large front doors.Good food is served to your table. There are lots of antique items, furniture, and supplies all around inside this cool general store.

I just love this little town's general store and local restaurant, it's quaint and the owners are very friendly. I go there after attending St Mary's Church in Victoria Harbour for morning breakfast after mass - they get a wee bit busy so you might wait a bit but there's so much to see around you in collectibles and antiques you won't mind the wait 😊

A perfect little place for a simple breakfast or lunch. Order as soon as you get in because it gets busy, then you can wonder around through the antique shop till your food arrives.
