Dropped off my 97 rav4 for a timing belt and water pump Monday night and had it back Tuesday. Amazing.
It’s been a few weeks and nothing fell off, so I can confidently say excellent job 😀

Oh, he gave me the best price and I did four estimates at different shops. He did an excellent job in a timely manner. He even updated the clock in my car without being asked. I needed a ride to and from the shop which he provided. I would recommend this business to anyone. It’s wonderful to have such a quality auto service nearby with easy availability..

Excellent communication on what to expect. I’ve had 3 vehicles with repairs and all at a reasonable price of hours and product parts. My little smart car had gone in this morning and ready for pick up in a timely manner and they even tried to connect with me to make sure I had a ride home. I even saved on quote in hours. I 100% recommend them for your up coming repairs. Oh and if you all didn’t know they do tires as well😊

Excellent service and fair pricing. I had an alternator stop working on my Ford e150. The Ford dealership in Port hardy wanted to charge me close to $800 for parts and labor! Red Steel did the work for $350 all in and it took them only an hour! Would definitely recommend these guys 😊

Carson diagnosed a vibration in one of my wheels using a sophisticated devise to isolate it.
It ended up being a wheel bearing which he replaced and fixed the problem.
He also provided me with valuable information which I can use to detect a wiring problem.
Along with his extensive knowledge and skills Carson has many tools to assist him in trouble shooting many faults with a vehicle.

Great service and very knowledgeable. Drove down from Victoria to have the brakes done (I was visiting a friend at the time as well). They were able to do it on a Saturday, and had it done quickly. Also very competitive pricing. If you're on the North Island (or south island and don't mind a drive) I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Living in the North island, it’s really hard finding a great mechanic, Red steel repairs is one of the best that I had ever taken my car too. Very great service and very great people.

Awful. The bill we received was DOUBLE the quote we were told. They provided no updates on progress we had to continuously call to check in to see how it was going, as he had our truck for an extra 7 days than we were told.
Got the vehicle back with exposed wires all under the hood, not professional at all. Should have been wrapped up & zip tied at the least.
Drivers mirror came back with a mystery crack/smash in the corner and a nice new dent in the back.
Absolutely awful, And rookie work done.
