From start to finish, our experience with Universal Roofs was exceptional. They gave me a detailed and competitive quote and were easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We especially appreciated that they went out of their way to delicately communicate with our semi-detached neighbour who was stressed about the work being done. We had a skylight leak after heavy rainfall on weekend with more rain forecast within two days. Insurance company could not send contractors right away. Otli and his team at Universal Roofs Inc. responded to our call on a Saturday morning and did a fantastic job of installing a new skylight. It has been six weeks and we’re satisfied with the work. This is the most amazing Roofing company I have ever used.I had venting issues in my attic.I couldn't find any local contractors to address my problems,until I met Olti.The weather was making it difficult to fix the issue. Another problem was I lived in another town.
Olti was so persistent and the repair was completed. Olti was so knowledgeable on proper ventilation and insulation requirements.He made things very comfortable. They were there when they said they would be, the communication was great, and their prices were better than most of the other companies I received a quote from. The guys were even nice enough to fix my gutters which were leaking and were not part of the scope of work. For 18 years I have lived in my 35 year old detached Thornhill house which needed a roofing/attic job since the shingle replacement done when I moved in 18 years ago. Typical roofing quotes simply reflected replacement of shingles BUT I wanted a quality roofer to pull back insulation blocking the aluminum soffits as well as install baffles and upgrade insulation in the attic PLUS install bathroom insulated exhaust ducts to roof vents and to replace some of the 35 year old plywood (31 sheets of plywood were needed) and install better roof vents. I finally found the right crew at Universal and was not disappointed. Olti was a pleasure to work with from the estimate to revisions to every aspect of my complicated job (not simply replacing shingles) and now I am super confident in my improved heating and air conditioning and keeping the elements out over the next 25 years....THANKS, Olti ! One of the biggest challenges faced is finding reliable contractors and someone you can give access to your home with peace of mind. That was never the case with the crew from Universal Roofs Inc. Their expertise and knowledge during the skylight repair was absolutely amazing. Olti, the main guy, is a real gentleman and is never trying to give opinions based on what makes them the most money but rather, what is the best option for the work needed. We had reoccurring leaks coming from the skylight and numerous contractors were immediately offering to replace the skylight. Olti did a thorough investigation, found the source of the leak and provided options for repairs. After the repair was completed we were finally able to stop worrying about the leak reappearing.
