This old and interesting building has seen LOTS of use over the years.
In the central room which has a stage, my dad showed feature length films one night a week in the Summers of the early 1950s for an entry fee of 25 cents. The place was packed, mostly of local people. They really liked the opportunity to have an inexpensive event at which they could socialize with the rest of the residents. My dad was a grade school principal on the mainland and he borrowed the 16 mm equipment and films from his school.
