Altona Hotel

Friendly staff that go above and beyond to make sure that you have a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and set up for long-term stays if needed. I didn't stay in the room but helped a family member get situated for the night. The young man setting up the details for the room was exceptionally pleasant under the stressful situation. Thank you so much for being the pleasant individual that you are. If only I could recall the name...

The room was small, but clean and had everything you needed. The heating was silent, the internet was okay- fine for internet browsing and video calls, not up to intense gaming. Staff were friendly and the food at the bar was fantastic

Hotel was clean with spacious rooms. We stayed there as a large group and were very well accommodated. Great service at the front desk and in the restaurant and bar as well. Our dinner was fantastic and again our large group was very well accommodated there in the restaurant as well. I would definitely go back!

Altona Hotel was a fantastic place to stay. Great bar next to the hotel and great parking. Had to checkout late and they were very accommodating with my checkout!

Had a wonderful restful stay. The hotel was slightly dated creating a nostalgic feeling.... but felt fresh and was super clean. The beds and sheets were soft and comfortable. Staff at reception were friendly and welcoming. Nice corner nook for cozy morning coffee! Would for sure stay here again!

The rooms are very large and look to be recently renovated as well. Don't often stay in small towns , but this was a great experience which makes me looking forward to having a chance to come back. There is a pool and jacuzzi tub and access to a gym as well across the street. As well the attached bar and restaurant, Grumpys, is some of the best food I have had in a long time. Fresh ingredients and food made in house, I'd definitely recommend coming here if you need a place to stay.

Stopped in for a bit to eat on my way through. I was recommended the curry which is a NEW menu item.

We were in Altona for a hockey tournament. This is the second time this year we’ve stayed in the Altona hotel and both times it was great! The staff are kind and helpful, the rooms are clean, the pool area is fun and the coffee and food was great! In highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area. (Sometimes they are a bit short staffed…who isn’t these days… so he prepared to have some patience and give yourself a few extra minutes for getting places.)

The service and staff were outstanding, very friendly and hospitable from top to bottom. The rooms are older, very dated and pretty loud (from other rooms and hallway). The bar/restaurant was great; excellent food and fantastic staff. I’d stay here again just because the people were so great!

Not many small towns have good hotels or restaurants attached to them but Altona Hotel actually does.

Their food in their restaurant was so delicious, their classic beef burger was dang delicious! I loved their curly fries, naked chicken wings and blackened chicken, cooked perfectly to my satisfaction.
I also loved that they used real cooked bacon bites for my Caesar Salad, not like that fake stuff you get in a package.
Great place for food, enjoyed anything I got off their menu and it wasn’t really expensive.

The owner was very friendly and easy to talk to and to me seemed like a good person.

I also forgot my jacket, sweater and they kept it in their office until I returned, I appreciated that.

The room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly. The only thing is that the building was not very well lit. So when arriving in the evening it was a little hard to find and get to our room.

Wonderful, the pool was clean with right temperature, spa was clean hot and had wonderful jets. Service was amazing.

My husband and I stayed here a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff upon entry were delightful. A young lady greeted us and helped us with checking in, making small talk and joking with us throughout.
Our room was the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. The bed was so perfect it automatically made me feel more comfortable. Especially since we stayed during the covid pandemic.
Checkout was easy, and once again the front door staff was very kind and helpful, as he directed us to a nearby car wash.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Good customer service, staff were very friendly. The restaurant had some delicious meals. Kids loved the pool and hot tub.

Stayed in a King/Kitchenette Suite. Room was large and comfortable. Food was good. Bar was fun and staff was amazing. Price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Our family loves the food at the Altona Hotel Restaurant. Everything we have had is amazing but I’m going to give a special shout-out to the Beef Dip. This is probably one of the best Beef Dips I have ever had!! I have had it a few times and it is consistently awesome!! There is lots of high quality beef, the bun is soft and fresh and the aus jous is really good! If you’re adding drinks to your dinner out, they rock that as well. Lots of options including specialty mixes.
