Best place in Gimli to go to by far. Shame it’s seasonal only.

We always get the pickerel burgers. For a great price (about $8 a piece) they are massive with two pieces of pan-fried lemon-pepper pickerel. We also add onion rings and Greek salad (also massive).

No comparison to other places with small portions and *gasp* freezer fries….

The pickerel was amazing! We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant! We ate in the patio and it was lovely! You might wait in line for your food but it is worth it. This is a true gem in Gimli. Service was fast and friendly. Absolutely recommended if your are visiting the town!

The Beach Boy restaurant I visited was a true gem of Gimli. With its prime location right on the shoreline, it offered breathtaking lake views while enjoying a delicious meal. The menu featured a variety dishes that were simply outstanding. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff added to the overall charm of the place. Best place In gimli for a burger and fries or onion rings if that's your thing! The very best Greek salad! Also his pickerel dinner is absolutely delicious, I recommend it when going! When my family comes from Alberta they just can't ever seem to get enough of this place! Really nice owner too, he's always the best to chat with about anything! My family and I will definitely continue going to this place as long as it's around!

I question how there can be negative reviews on here at all.

Since I was a very, very young child we been going here all the time, driving all the way from Winnipeg. I always order either the chili cheese dogs or the hamburgers, we get a salad, and it never ever disappoints. It's enigmatic that some other people on here didn't get the same thing, give this place another chance.

The staff always comes to us every five minutes or so to ask if we need anything, it's very nice.

You can't beat the atmosphere of a restaurant located right next to a beach. This is the closest Manitoba gets to paradise.

I never tried the pickerel, so I can't offer an opinion on that.

Comfortable, fast friendly- they weren’t kidding about how good the Greek Salad was- first time I have ever been excited for a salad (please add more olives tho guys) Fish was awesome.

What to do on a Sunday May long weekend but take a road trip to Gimli MB for a tasty pickerel meal at the famous Beach Boy Restaurant. Hmmmmmmm the pickerel melts in your mouth - pan fried to perfection along with Greek salad a perfect amount of seasoning & feta. Place your order with the friendly staff than take a seat at a table & enjoy your time with your friends or family. The service is quick & you will not be disappointed.

After your meal take a stroll down the beach, boardwalk to enjoy the sites or swimming. For those who like to fish bring your fishing gear or sit along the boardwalk watch the boats. There are many shops to enjoy if that is what your fancy. So much to do in Gimli or Winnipeg Beach. Plan your next road trip or how about book a cabin.

Every time i’m in Gimli you can guarantee i’m going to Beach Boy for lunch, dinner or an ice cream. They have a good selection of items on the menu to please all tastes. My personal favorite is the pickerel burger... they do the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. But certainly try their platters, fatboys and others! Everything on the menu is pretty much guaranteed to be tasty. The staff is always friendly and ready to serve. If you’ve been outside baking in the sun all day at the beach don’t forget to stop in before making the drive home.

Cute beach restaurant! The service was quick and polite, and the food came out so soon! We ordered the pickerel which was good, a little soft and salty but otherwise fine. I love the covered porch seating, and the tables and decor are pretty cute.

When people find out I hail from Winnipeg they inevitably mention 'frigid winters'. What many people don't know is that Manitoba is blessed with beautiful summers and white sand beaches.

Gimli is a great destination for beach & 'eats'. I had the pickerel platter which was delicious. Don't skip the fresh house-made lemonade. I am not a huge lemonade fan but this was a refreshing treat I want to repeat.

Order at the counter. We sat overlooking the street on the veranda area and it was entertaining to watch people as we dined.

This is my number one spot in town. I got to this place every time I visit gimli. The reason why I always choose this place beach boys restaurant is because they have the Best pickerel in town hands down. Grab the pickerel burger and fries 🍟 you won't regret it I promise. The large fries 🍟 are Big it can feed two adults perfectly. The price is reasonable and the service is Great 😃👍

Fast casual burgers and Greek food, I had the pickerel and salad, fast service, price was a little high but the portions were good, see pic. I would go again.

Fantastic food, excellent service. The dinner plates are huge and delicious! Biggest "small fries" I've ever seen. We directly went back the next day to enjoy the food once more.
