Very impressive architecture, woodwork, painting. This is an amazing Cathedral; I could spend hours sitting and walking here and enjoy every little detail and not get bored at all. The chapel in the back of the main cathedral is worth a visit, too. I recommend buying tickets in advance if you don’t want to wait in the lineup.

Right now there’s Aura ongoing, weekdays at 6pm. I recommend buying ticket a few days in advance as they get sold-out.

Beautiful church, to think this was all handmade is insane. The chapel features breathtaking artwork, stained glass, and ornate woodwork. The staircase, which you sadly can't go up, is so stunningly ornate and symbolic. The symbolism present in this church is so meaningful and awe inspiring. I highly recommend taking a good look around it. Also make sure to see the sacred 2nd chapel also found within the church. Even though it might be a lot of money to just see a church, for one of Montreal's most beautiful and ornate, I recommend it.

We had a great experience at the AURA event with our family. The kids all really enjoyed it and it was unlike anything we'd ever done before. The light and sound show was incredibly well done and the kids enjoyed seeing the history and the craftsmanship that went into the basilica itself. I would recommend it.

What a beautiful space. With stunning architectural details and stained glass windows. It has a warm and welcoming vibe and the staff and caretakers are gracious and kind. Great spot to meditate snd reflect. They accept donations, but it’s not mandatory. I recommend supporting if you can and are able. They make the donation process super convenient. The fact that it’s free to enter and explore, is a blessing. Highly recommend you check it out.

Gorgeous cathedral - the prettiest one I’ve ever been in outside of Europe. A little pricey at $16 but worth it. It is very colorful and ornate. This church has it all. Beautiful paintings, woodwork, stained glass, organ pipes, and an amazing sanctuary. There’s also a bonus chapel in the back which is modern but still beautiful. I was able to sit in the nave and appreciate the beauty for some time.

One of the most beautiful places of worship 🙏.

A must see. After having visited scores of churches the world over, this one made me ready with a big WOW.

Lovely ambience, colourful stained glass work and aesthetic carvings.

The whole designing is simply in sync with the feeling.

Awesome and so well maintained.

Came here to see the Aura show. The show was not very long but I loved how the music and the light helped us appreciate the details of the architecture of the basilica. I would definitely recommend to see the show at least once. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to take pictures or videos of the show so here are just some pictures from before the show.

The place is shockingly detailed. I thought it would be nice, but it blew me away. Felt as if it rivalled some of the great cathedrals of Europe, which I wasn’t expecting. Certainly worth the visit.

Adult price = $16, Seniors (age over 65) = $15, Students = $14. There are two types of candles you can light: electronic or real fire. There are two options for electronic: 1) for $2 by credit card for 5 hours and 2) for $10 by credit card for 5 days. The real candle is $2. For more to look at go behind the main attraction by going up the ramp on either right or left side of it.

This is a stunning Basilica right in old town. It’s definitely worth a visit when in Montreal. The entrance fee is nominal and there are rates for groups and families. Plan to visit about 45 minutes or longer if you plan to partake in daily mass or other events.

Spectacular artwork and architecture make this holy place truly awe inspiring and reverent. Well worth the $16 admission per adult. Disappointed to learn that the Aura light show only occurs once per day at 6:00pm.

Amazing sites to see in Montréal! I recommend going early to beat the crowds~ it was very busy later in the day. The Basilica is a sight to behold ~ the first Neo Gothic Church in Canada, fantastic stained glass windows, hand carved wood work, painted decoration, and gold leaf

Beautiful Cathedral with amazing light and music show. Outside it reminds of Notre Dame de Paris. Inside it is like a museum with its beautiful architecture and paintings. Organ sounds great!

Imagine walking into a room where almost everything is painted in bright colors, with gold stars and beautiful pictures everywhere. That's what it's like inside. The Aura show at Montreal's Notre Dame Basilica was a mesmerizing experience for my family. The stunning light show brought the basilica to life, captivating us all, especially my kids. It's a perfect blend of art, history, and modern technology. An unforgettable, must-see spectacle.
