This cafe was a great find on our trip to East Sooke! The food was phenomenal, compliments to the chef! No extensive menu, just a handful of dishes served up perfectly. The platter of tuna, calamari and salmon spring rolls was absolutely delicious! And what a view! Thank you so much for squeezing us in under the grape vines when we didn't have a reservation 💗.

We ordered green salad, crab meat pasta, pirogies and fried tuna. Everything was delicious and looked stylish!

Was a bit skeptical, so we didn't order much food. That was a big mistake. We should have ordered much more food. It was awesome.

We just had Thanksgiving dinner at the Smokin tuna. It was so good the turkey was tender the stuffing was really good. They started out with an absolutely amazing appetizer table. Then the turkey dinner, and an amazing dessert table the pastry on the pies was so awesome! We have been there before and had the regular menu,, which is always good. The calamari, the salmon rolls, the tuna is to to die for and the ice cream sandwiches are awesome. I've never had a bad meal there.

Fantastic food and view. We tried all the seafood dishes which were all amazing! The clams and sausage was incredible! Prices were very good considering the quality! Where else can you get a tuna steak for $14?!

I've been here many times and the food is always wonderful. The calamari or tuna can't be beat. Portion sizes are a touch small for the price, but you'll enjoy, especially the wonderful view of Beecher Bay.

I've even seen a couple of Orca swim nearby, easily viewed from their patio. This is a great location to stop after a hike through East Sooke Park (Aylard Farm Entrance).

I'm not sure if they still do their homemade ice cream sandwiches any longer, but they were awesome.

Amazing hole in the wall. The food was delicious. Staff so friendly and great with our 5 year old (made a kids meal to order). Deep fried tuna was fresh and melted in our mouths. Perfect spicy mayo. Homemade icecream sandwichces. Thanks Smokin' Tuna!!

Smokin Tuna Cafe is the perfect place for a date, either for one of their delicious sandwiches or paninis for lunch, or for their absolutely mouth-watering tuna steak supper. You cannot come here without trying their Tuna. Their menu is delicious, locally sourced, and changes daily based on what's in season.

The view from the patio is gorgeous - you can see bald eagles and turkey vultures flying around, seals swimming in the harbour, and fishermen and sailboats coming in to harbour and going out to sea. Bring a light jacket or sweater if you eat on the patio at night, it does get chilly by the ocean here!

This was a great spot for lunch after a visit to East Sooke Park. You'll see a sign as you're driving to the park, but it looks like a snack bar from the outside and you have to drive through a small RV park to get to it. As the owner said, people tend to have low expectations when they first get there. I know I wouldn't have bothered to stop if I hadn't seen some other reviews first. It was They have paninis and that type of thing, but I can only speak for what we had, which was the salmon spring rolls and the deep fried tuna, both of which were delicious. Everything on the menu was more than what you would expect. Not iced tea and lemonade, but chai spice iced tea and lemonade that the owner squeezed the lemons for himself. Homemade ice cream sandwiches. That type of thing. The location is great too, right on the water with a beautiful view.

Great food!! Quiet atmosphere in countryside overlooking a very small port.

You can eat up at a picnic table if you have pets.

Super friendly people.

We live local and this is one of our favourite places — superb seared tuna but best of all Yorkshire pud that defies my superlatives, home made horse radish, au juice that’s divine, and the beef — tender, succulent just brilliant — well done chef always talented.

As Tina Turner would say “simply the best”.

A terrific stop, especially if one is walking the nearby trails in East Sooke Park, Alwyrd Farm entrance. The staff is genuine and positive, even if brought in on their day off. The food is fresh and oh so terrific. We had the Roast Beef Panini, carved off a Prime Rib roast cooked to perfection. The beef was butter tender, delicious. We also had the Calamari special. Perfectly breaded, perfectly cooked, served with delicious homemade tsatziki. This gem looks out on to a lovely vista, a wee marina. The staff even gave us a bowl of cool water for our dog waiting for us to finish lunch. Good for all the folks at the Smok'in Tuna. You do yourself proud.

This cafe is near East Sooke Park and nestles by the boat ramp by the sea. Its calm and ocean scented location makes it a relaxing place to find yourself in. The food is prepared with care for your enjoyment. A definite place to visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Make your way out to this hidden treasure! They only are open for certain times and have limited seating, but it is worth the drive, and view that accompanies such an awesome meal!! Locally sourced as possible!
