Went on a overcast day but it was still a great informational place regarding the history of the light house. All funds go to maintaining one of the Last round lighthouses in Canada. (No new ones will be built due to gps..etc)

Awesome lighthouse to visit and you can go right to the top. We came on a cooler, less busy day and there were still lots of people. There is a small fee to go to the top but the visit is free. Not many made the trek up to the top at the time we were there. The stair are steep so not for the faint of heart. It’s a great spot for photography, picnics and even has a nice souvenir shop as well. There is a cafe just down the driveway as well, if you want something to eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are people will will tell you about the history of their lighthouse and they are very proud of it.

The oldest lighthouse on PEI. Marvelous souvenir shop. All items very unique and crafted by PEI artisans. Lighthouse cost $5 to walk the near vertical staircase to the top but worth it.

This is the oldest lighthouse on PEI. It is in incredible shape and a great spot for photo taking. We visited this lighthouse at sunset. Be prepared for the mosquitos, especially in the summertime, as they can get quite bad at certain times of the day on the island. Sunset was beautiful! Would definitely visit this one again.

With amazing views this lighthouse gives access to the guard room. It also has preserved beam glasses used in the past. The gift shop has amazing collection of local crafts and lady at gift shop is very sweet - she shared anecdotes from past and how climate change may impact light house. Don’t forget to use stamp at the entry of light house. It’s fun

Picturesque tall lighthouse on the beautiful south coast of Price Edward Island. They had a super cute gift shop with souvenires, and wears. My sister and I each bought these beautiful hand painted pottery dishes for grating garlic. You can even pay as small fee ($5) to go up inside the lighthouse all the way to the top. The money goes to maintaining the lighthouse so we happily paid. The inside is set up like a museum and a greater who tells you the history of the lighthouse and it's keeper. You can even crank the fog horn with is fun! There are several levels to climb and it's cool to see how the keeper lived in the small spaces The view from the top is incredible. Sweeping views of the sea backed by lush evergreens.

Oldest lighthouse in Pei and definitely worth 5$ for climbing to the top to see the view. Staff at the entrance were great with the info about the lighthouse.

Incredible lighthouse! You can climb it all the way to the top. You can also set off a fog horn and turn the light on and off! If you ask, they'll give you a guided tour. Totslly worth it for the money that it costs. Less than $10 a person which was not bad considering the cool tour and info. Lots of space on the grounds for a picnic, plenty of informational signs. A nice gift shop as well. I would definetly go back to this place. A good size parkinglot as well. Easy to find. Can't miss it. Special thanks to "Dolphin Derek" our tour guide, and "Lighthouse Laurie" and "Naughty Kim" for all their help!!

Great little lighthouse for taking pictures. However, this is a well-known spot so expect to have strangers in your photos (unless you are very patient and wait for that perfect moment when there is no one around. We also enjoyed a delicious lobster roll and seafood chowder at the restaurant.

Wonderful to see and appreciate the beauty surrounding it. We were able to climb to the top for a few dollars and it was great.

Loved it. My wife, she is terrified of heights. Like paralyzed. She climbed it. Took forever to get down but she did both. So it was a major accomplishment. The purpose of the trip out east (Toronto people yes I know) Was to see light houses of which, all of them this was the fave. Then to sit at the chowder house overlooking the water to eat.
Perfect day, thank you

Such a wonderful little spot where we spent our last day in PEI. The kids loved climbing upto the top of the lighthouse and visiting the gift shop which was run by two very lovely ladies! The grounds were clean and the view was serene. I would recommend this little lighthouse. Take a picnic and eat right by it.

The oldest and only round Lighthouse in P.E.I. It was quite the feat climbing those stairs to get to the top, but we made it!!

A remarkable piece of heritage, surrounded by beautiful scenery. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse, giving you an unobtrusive view of the harbour.
Well worth a visit

Well worth a day trip from Charlottetown. Better than Peggy's Cove lighthouse. Same idea just without the crowds. Small price to actually climb up the lighthouse. Great views and spots to take a picture from the top. Easy climb for those able to climb. Chowder House just down the road or bring a picnic basket to have at the picnic tables. Great little souvenir shop and friendly staff. ON the same road in is also Hannah's Bottle Village. A free attraction well worth spending 30 minutes to visit. Donations accepted.

Loved the place...the very first lighthouse built on PEI, and the only round one with bricks (that eroded and now has wooden shingles). It is so peaceful here. The wound wind, birds and waves help you unwind magically. The lawns are immaculate. The lighthouse is well maintained and you can go up all the way. It costs $5, and is worth every penny. The gift shop, where you buy the ticket, is neat and houses some great peices from local artisans.

This is a beautiful lighthouse and there’s a very nice souvenir store next to it, run by the locals and carry mostly locally crafted items.
Met “Lighthouse Lori” at the store, who was very nice and welcoming.

Very picturesque at any time of the year. On some summer evenings, the mosquitoes can be a real nuisance.
