Cox Bay Beach Resort

What an incredible property, only feet from the beautiful sandy beaches of Cox Bay. The views were outstanding in our 2 bed room loft.

The resort had everything for rainy days, rain coats, umbrellas, board games, hot tub, sauna and laundry in suite.

A small walk down the board walk at one end of the cove provided stunning sunset views. On the other end of the cove we enjoyed the tide pools. More hiking there too but we were not so adventurous

We stayed there a few weeks ago, the rooms are nice and perfect for the wet west coast. We loved having access to a washer and dryer in suite. Steps outside our room was the beach! We love the look out room with a cozy fire place it was our favourite place to relax!

The service we received is really what I want to highlight. On our last day we went for a walk and got soaked so tossed my jacket in the dryer totally forgetting my necklace was inside.. low and behold it wasn’t there in my pocket when I got home. I called right away and the lovely front desk worker (name I think starts with an A) was so helpful. My friend also left her earrings so right away those were located and mailed back to us no problem! My necklace however was not found… weeks go by and we got a call today it was found! Again, the lovely front desk worker (name starts with an A I think, sorry I can’t remember the name!) and they found the necklace! They never forgot and it’s on its way back to me today! Thank you for going above and beyond! Fully recommend staying here and say thanks to the lovely front desk worker “A” for me!!!!! <3

Been here four times with each stay including a pooch. We have never been disappointed. This is not a five star property. Neither are the prices. Good value for the spend. Suites are clean and organized everytime with the right amount and type of inventory in the bathrooms and kitchen. Staff are friendly and helpful. Property is clean with great spaces for BBQing, games, hot tub and more. It’s not a big property. No suite has an ocean view but it’s quiet, well kept, well positioned and looked after. Updates and renos are happening currently but without interruption to guests. We love the in-suite laundry option, private balconies and patios and overall feel of the property. Relaxed and friendly. We’re headed back in the fall. Our fifth stay. Even our pooch approves of this property.

It's a beautiful resort. We stayed 3 nights during Valentine's Day week which was also storm season. The discounted rates are incredible at that time of the year. Lovely staff. Would absolutely stay again.

We loved our visit to Cox Bay Beach Resort. Amazing weather, lots to do, and friendly hotel staff made our stay memorable. Our dog loved the beach and had a great time with other hounds. The Surf Club, next door, is a hassle free places to grab boards, suits, etc. and having a beer in their hot tub après surf was nice.

Phenomenal!! I visited during the wildfires and was nervous when informed the main route was closed. My nervousness subsided when Sara gave me the detour route. I made it safely and in good timing as the detour route equipped with signage and drivable conditions. Cox Bay would not be what it is without the staff who radiant positivity and good vibes!! My room was immaculately clean and fully stocked with laundry pods, dishwasher detergent, and a comfortable bed. The location is supreme to watch the sunset and surf. There’s so many great things about this resort!! It took me 19 hours to make it to this peaceful haven and I would do it again. Keep up the exceptional efforts of making guests feel something they never knew they needed.

Had a fabulous 4-day stay in a 2 bed loft suite for the occasion of my sister's wedding. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the accommodation was top notch. Super comfy bed pictured! A++++++ thank you we'll be back!

This resort has made our Tofino trip really special! This is such a relaxing place, my husband and I are already planning out next trip out here.

Pros:
- The units are immaculately clean
- Only 1 party can use the amenities at a time, no sharing! (A+ for that)
- The amenities themselves: hot tub, sauna, gym, yoga/meditation room, lookout room, on site BBQs….
- Steps away from the beach
- Resort is quiet and safe
- Staff are friendly and helpful

Cons:
-None :) fire pits & a coffee spot could be a nice addition though…

Stunning setting, contemporary rooms, friendly staff, pet friendly rooms, right on Cox Bay beach. Can’t do better! They even found us a babysitter for our puppy!

Fantastic location that's perfect for a stress-free family get away. Suites are modern, well kept, and include all necessary appliances to avoid the frequent restaurant visits. The pull-out/hide-a-bed was a bit rigged, but the kids don't know the difference yet :P The queen bed was perfect, not too soft, not too hard, Goldilocks. Shower was nice and the tub is terrific - super deep. We were fortunate to score a "corner" unit that I assume feature a few extra windows, that make for a nice and bright interior - even on a cloudy day.

Just returned from our 2nd visit to Cox Bay Beach Resort. Our first was 8 years ago as a couple and this time we came with kids and dog in tow. I was really impressed that the quality of the hotel still feels so good after almost a decade. The location is perfect, rooms are cozy and spacious. Staff were friendly. Having to book the workout room/hot tub was actually a positive so we could plan out our day and have space for the kids.

Look forward to returning again, hopefully sooner this time!

I just arrived back from Cox Bay Beach Resort and miss it already. We had a great time staying in the two bedroom loft unit. The room was very cozy and made us feel at home. The resort staff have thought of all the items to make your stay comfortable, from the dog bed and bowls to all the kitchen supplies. Sarah the resort manager is very friendly and welcoming as well as the rest of the front desk team, they were able to provide great recommendations for hikes. As the resort is less than 100m from the beach It is the perfect place for a spring or summer gateway from the city life!

Everyone can agree the perfect vacation is not complete without a gargantuan colander. Rest assured you will not be disappointed at the Cox Bay Beach Resort.

Oh sure, the beach is fantastic, the staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the suites are well maintained and super cozy. One could write a review about the detailed thought that the architects and designers put into the planning of this resort, and how one could tell that was followed through to every detail inside and outside of the suite, but of course that would be neglecting the most important part of the Cox Bay Beach Resort – the super-sized sieve in the kitchen.

We all know that when cooking dinner for two and draining pasta that we want 95% of the colander to be unused. It’s a simple way to assert meal prep dominance and show your friends and family members you are not to be messed with.

Other reviews probably talk about the rest of the well-appointed kitchen, the storage lockers for surfboards, the hot tub right off the beach and how the resort is simultaneously away from it all but also in the middle of the ‘action’ of Tofino. Some may talk about how the area is nestled into the stunning natural surroundings that is so uniquely the West Coast that it lays bare a truly unparalleled experienced. But, they would unfortunately be missing the most important part – superfluous sieve.

In summary, if you want a colossal colander that is wider than your spouse, visit Cox Bay Beach Resort and you will not be disappointed.

Incredible location and accommodations. You’re right on the beach and you can hear the ocean whilst enjoying the outdoor hot tub. The full kitchen, living room, and fireplace were wonderful additions. Will be staying here again next time!

Stayed at the 2 lvl loft apartment. Having the small kitchen (full oven, dishwasher, etc) was a godsend with food allergies. Direct access to the enormous sandy beach was awesome. Weather was hot. Skies were clear and blue. Couldn't ask for anything more. Very polite and helpful front desk.

Stayed here for a couple of nights this weekend. I had the unfortunate experience of losing my room key late into one of the evenings and had to call the hotel emergency line (as their front desk closes at 10pm.) A staff member kindly drove over to give me a replacement key. By this time it was past 2am, and yet she was incredibly nice and sympathetic about it.

In fact, from booking to check out, the team here were all so helpful and pleasant in making the experience as smooth as possible. The accommodation itself is serene, modern, clean—and has every convenience you need including a washer and dryer in the room. There is a nice, bright fitness center, hot tub and a nice main lounge area for reading or working with a view of the ocean. Will definitely be coming back!

i can't express just how great this place is! The welcoming staff definitely, is just that most welcoming. If you need anything from food recommendations, to local insights they are there to help you. The suite itself, was exactly what we love. Imagine a small boutique Mexican hotel, but this time, on the beautiful west coast of Canada. Great roomy modern updated suite, comfy bed, excellent small kitchen and enough room for your surfing gear. The amenities are also a nice added bonus, great view from the lounge, hot tub and nice sauna after a day of surfing. Did I mention there is even a Botum for your morning freshly brewed coffee? Heaven on earth.

Me and my fiance visited this place in mid Oct . My first time and he's been here few times. We absolutely love this lovely place. We enjoyed the hot tub,incredible views from just few sec walk from the cabin, peaceful sound of the wave, kind community we met here in Tofino. This place feels like home to us and thank you for the wine as well. Also loved kitchen very much! This place has everything that you can imagine and would recommend for couples, families, friends for a short and long getaway trips! We will be back with our parents next time. Thank you for the lovely Tofino experience again 🥰🙏🥂❤

Only place I stay near Tofino - is absolutely perfect. Constructive criticism from a family that stays at least once a year: (1) the rooms on the south side don't seem to have enough hot water capacity i.e. couldn't get the tub half-full whereas we never noticed this before while primarily staying in rooms on the north side (?); (2) throw all the frying pans out that aren't stainless steel - nobody is cooking on them anyway given they're deteriorating into teflon particles (?). But again, we absolutely love the place after 10+ visits.
