IGA Blackfalds

I've been shopping at Blackfalds IGA for many years now, since back when it was still Blackfalds Family Foods. The staff there are the most friendly people, who know me by name, and they make this store a great place to shop! Always clean with shelves that are well stocked with good quality products. Large selection of pre-made dinners that are ready to pop in the oven, such as pizza, lasagna, perogies etc. They have a nice selection of fresh flowers for summertime as well. Thanks to everyone at Blackfalds IGA for being a great part of this community! 😁

We love the bakery here, so good.
Pricing is fairly good. Would be nice to have a bigger baby section. Love that they always stock 36% heavy cream which I need fairly often, so
I’m happy to not have to go to red deer for it. Produce is better here than the other store in town.

Everyone is always so friendly. I love that the store is laid out well and everything is easy to find. It's not too big so, grocery shopping takes minimal time.

This IGA is unique. It has certain items I haven't seen in other IGA's or Sobey's

This is a wicked store if you need something unique ask and they will try to bring it in. I have gone in a requested specific cuts from the meat department and they are so accommodating. Love that they also have such yummy fresh breads and buns. You can tell it's family run the staff are always kind and helpful!

Just Love the staff, you can definatley see good management as staff retention is evident. Love that the management and ownership hire local kids and adults. I love supporting this store and will always support this store because of the support they give local kids and people. Prices are good in comparison to the rest of the town. For the staff, management and ownership, IGA blackfalds will have my families complete support. Thank you!

Best grocery store in Central Alberta

Prices can be a little high, but good sales, decent prices on a lot of staples (milk, eggs, bread), and you can get done a full shopping trip in 30-45 minutes and get pretty much everything!

When I travel to Red Deer I often stop at this IGA to grab odds and ends. The store is well stocked, parking is easy and service is fast.

Still a small-town community feel and convenient as heck for us! Friendly staff, for the most part. The prices can be a little crazy, but inflation has all prices crazy right now.

I love this place especially the staff. Many times when I do a big shopping trip in red deer I still have to stop at IGA for items I know they have that other stores do not.

I wish that store can have better/fresher fruits and veggies, sometimes there is nothing to choose from, strawberries look like they have to be in garbage bin, grapes same, tomatoes... they need to get rid of moldy fruits, don't wait until someone would mistakenly buy them ☹

It's a great all round grocery store!

Lived in Blackfalds for past 7.5 yrs...awesome staff, always shopped here for meat and in store bread, excellent....prices high on some items, to be expected...shop smart. Now living closer to Penhold, tried IGA there...never again....worst ground beef I've had the misfortune to cook in 50 years, disgusting....avoid at all cost.
