Jay's Fly & Tackle Shop (Tofino Fishing Charters )

It was a wonderful experience with Tofino Fishing Clayoquot Ventures! I booked an one day charter for my family with them last summer and it was a lot of fun and unforgettable. The guides are experienced, easygoing and humorous! Our guide on that day, Jaime, has a great talent of fishing and driving the boat! The price was fair and affordable, too. If I get a chance, I will definitely come back with my friends to Tofino and fish with these dudes again!

Booked a fishing charter last minute and they were able to accommodate.

Spent a Saturday afternoon on the water with our guide Ryan. He was absolutely spectacular, we got several bites and even managed to catch a salmon! Ryan made great company and helped us get our fish every step of the way with useful coaching and demonstration. He provided comedic relief when the seasickness set in and did all of the dirty work once the fish was caught.

The price for the charter was a tad steep compared to other establishments around town however overall I am so happy we went and spent the day with Ryan.

Super helpful South African dude behind the desk gave us awesome tips on tackle and local spots.

Staff are nice but dont know anything about fishing and charge us 5$ extra to print our fishing license

Staff knowledge is very poor...
I couldn't believe I walked into a fly fishing shop and neither of the girls behind the counter knew what backing is.

Although I guess they did barley speak English.

Horrible experience. Only have 1 boat. The boat got a oil leak and they cancelled our trip when we arrived at the dock. No contingency plan if boat isn't working.
