I’m still drooling. So delicious, friendly staff, beautiful venue and we enjoyed our spot in the heated patio as it was quieter and relaxing! We took our time trying a little bit of everything and the only complaint we had was we couldn’t stop eating! The potato crusted oysters, Humboldt squid and pork belly was our favs. Finished off with the Irish coffee cocktail and the cream puff for dessert. One of my favourite meals I’ve had in a long time!

Been here many times and it never disappoints! Interesting cocktails and fantastic food as always. The potato crusted oysters are a must - they’ve been on the menu as long as we’ve been going there. Party of three this time, having the oysters, the seaboard (hotly debated whether the shrimp rolls or confit tuna was the best; it was all great) and 2 x sablefish and 1 x halibut; all outstanding!

I came to dine here the day before my birthday . I chose a different place to go for my birthday but I truly wish I chose this place as the food was so good. Every bite was so good from
The appie to the dinner to the desert and they had some vegetarian options which always puts a smile on my face. The waiter was very attentive and super sweet which made the experience extra special. We ended up going again a few days later as we loved it that much. The only thing I may suggest as this is a higher end place which seems classy to perhaps not charge for the twist of lemon requested in a martini order. That seemed a little different to charge for a small lemon skin saying this the martini was tasty .... all in all a fantastic experience and I will defiantly go back next time I am in Tofino .

ONE OF THE BEST MEALS IN RECENT MEMORY

We concluded our recent trip to Tofino with a group dinner @wolfinthefog and it was spectacular. Everything we ordered from the menu was an explosion of flavours and textures. The restaurant itself was also beautiful in an understated and cozy way. Our server also helped to make our experience even more memorable.

Wolf in the Fog was a pleasant surprise to all of our taste buds. Every dish was beautifully plated, I loved how the chef played with textures and shadows on the plate. The perfect balance of salt, fat, and acid in every dish also ensured that no single flavour overpowered the other. All of the ingredients also tasted super fresh, we especially loved the seaweed salad, salmon, and beef short-rib.

This restaurant will also be forever be remembered as the restaurant that made my friend eat his words. When we were walking up to the dining area, he made a comment saying “what’s so good about this place anyways.”

After our appetizers were served, he said “that was pretty good, the entrees can’t be better than this though.”

And after our entrees were served, he said “huh, the entrees were even better. The dessert has to be bad, there’s no way they can nail all three.”

Now guess what he said after our desserts?

“Damn, everything was good.”

Needless to say, Wolf in the Fog is going on my ‘favourite restaurants of all time” list.

My husband and I were visiting the area (also heard several great reviews from locals).
We were seated on the outdoor patio with the heat lamps. It was a great experience overall! From service, quality food, and timing between meals!
We had the squid to start, halibut for main and 2 desserts to share. Along with some drinks! See you next time we area in the area!

We ordered their famous cocktail, ROMERO CAMERO. Nice taste!
The scallop is a must try. The flavour is mixed with Japanese miso. The taste is too delicious to be true 😋 I’d honestly recommend it to everybody that I know!
The atmosphere is comfortable. The server wouldn’t push us or give us any pressure. The music, lighting, are all good! The most amazing thing is every customer here is quiet. There’s no annoying noise in the restaurant, which is very much appreciated! The server recommends us right thing that meets our satisfaction. Overall, we will come back to Tofino for this experience. Oh btw, the dessert, puff is so delicious! Even if I was full with my food already, i managed to finish the entire dessert 😍

Honestly amazing! The feature ravioli was delicious and put together with precision and passion. The Sable fish was wonderful and seasoned to perfection. To the kitchen team, bravo. The service was great, with a lot of attention to detail. Quick and attentive, just what we like.

The food was wonderful, really amazing creativity with the dishes. Potato wrapped oysters were so tasty, with the truffle and apple puree combining beautifully. We also got the seaboard which was composed of two absolute flavour bombs with the fish cake and octopus, rounded out with the most perfectly executed shrimp roll with simple, classic flavours with flawless preparation.

It was one of the best dining experiences we ever had. Service was good. Everything we ordered was so good. Must try steamed buns. This place was packed with couples. Overall ambience was good.

I have been going there since they opened so maybe 1 to 2x a year (except during Covid). The service is always excellent and I like their changing seasonal menus.

My fav continues to be the seaweed salad and the oyster / fried noodle.

I know prices have gone up so not a place to go for a cheap meal. That being said, you can get burger and fries for $22 that’s very filling.

Small place so keep that in mind if you have a very large group.

My reservation fees were refunded but I wish they just applied this to my bill instead.

Over a must try once.

We had dinner last night at The Wolf in the Fog while visiting Tofino for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was on point, the services was implacable, and the food was absolutely divine! We started with the feature oysters (breaded and served Italian style with a house made tomato sauce which was SO good) and each had a main (hubby had the burger which he said was very well executed, and I had the sable fish ramen with homemade noodles and broth which was exquisite). Our server Emily was down to earth, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our meal and the entire dining staff worked well as a team. Well done, Wolf in the Fog! We will absolutely be back!

5 stars is not enough! We sat at the bar and had the most incredible experience with Ken. He took us through a historical journey of many classic cocktails, and gave a rare experience of educational and entertaining balance. The food (specifically the brussels sprouts) was so scrumptious and we were pleasantly surprised at the generous portion sizes. Also very cool that they use thrifted glassware and china AND that you can buy a 6 pack of beer for the kitchen (accompanied by a round of applause from the kitchen when that comes through on the chit). Thanks Ken- we’ll be back to hang out with you at the bar again soon!

Food was all delicious and beautiful. We split 3 seafood dishes and they were all fantastic. The layers of flavours in every dish was well crafted. Every bite was a pleasure. The cocktails all looked and tasted amazing. Prices are definitely in the higher range, dished are typically $35+ each and drinks $15+. Staff were friendly and came to help often.

This is one of the best meals we’ve had in years, at the level of Michelin level restaurants we’ve been to around the world. They serve bistro/fusion/comfort dishes that are fresh and balanced, with complex and interesting levels of flavour.

we had a wonderful dinner with the family, the service, atmosphere, and food were all great! all the cocktails were very fancy, and they even offered to make a surprise punch bowl for the kids! all the food was great, but the scallop gratin, house pasta, halibut and salmon entrees, and the fries were fantastic! I loved how they had mismatch plates for everything, super cute!

All the food was fantastic and the customer service is the best I had in my life , she explained all the delicacies and drinks details with us n all the table she served. I see she is enthusiastic, patient and smiling always also recommended us good dishes since we were first time there. Definite will come back again.

Love this place! We had visited on our last trip to Tofino and tried 3 share plates and enjoyed everything. So on this current trip it was hard not to order the same thing knowing how good it would be. We tried 3 new dishes and were not disappointed! Actually, it’s there with the best meals I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is cozy, and it’s very nice to enjoy high quality food in such a comfortable environment.

One of the best places Ive ever eaten. Conor, our server was spectacular, he is a wizard with the menu and was more than able to answer all my wife's questions in great detail. The food was not pretentious and was extremely well flavoured (balance, presentation, amount). One cool feature is you can tip the kitchen a six pack of beer, cool! This is a must try for anyone traveling to Tofino BC.

Delicous Asian inspired but still local food, fantastic drink and wine menu. We had a lovely night, sharing 3 starters and two mains. Everything had a special twist and tasted really good.

We had our reservation in May and the place was quite busy.
The food was great. Between the four of us we shared the Seacuterie. The part of this dish was the charred octopus that was very delicious. As for the main course I ordered the slow baked halibut which was again delicious.
Service was excellent!
While you are in Tofino it's definitely the restaurant to visit.
