Our family of four spent a perfect week at Le Baluchon for February vacation! There were so many activities for the kids - horseback riding, skiing, skating, hiking, and an indoor pool, plus an easy day trip to Domaine Enchanteur. The staff were so kind and accommodating, especially Annabelle in the Salle a Manger and Lawrence and Lionel in the ferme. As for us adults, we enjoyed facials and massages in the spa that then allowed us access to the Nordic spa for the whole week. The food was incredible, both breakfast and dinner, with a boulangerie onsite for fresh bread everyday. We loved that much of the food was produced locally - get the gravlax, the lamb, and the frozen pyramid, delicious! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. My girls have asked that we spend every February vacation at Le Baluchon!!

I went to Le Baluchon for lunch, and the food was to die for! You see, I'm vegan and often find myself having ordinary lunches at different restaurants which do not specialize in vegan food.
Let me tell you that I was wrong! I had a hummus pie (if that was indeed the name, I can't recall), a delicious potage and a yummy mango sorbet. Yummy!

Found a great deal online and decided to try it out, with package including 2 days breakfast and one 3 course dinner for two along with use of their outdoor activities for 3 nights. We stayed in a classic room; it was clean and comfortable and had basic toiletries. The only issue is that the A/C wasn't blowing cold air and had to really lower the temperature to have the room cool.

Property itself is quite big, with various buildings in different areas. All walkable distances, about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the speed of walking. Can also drive as well, and they have ample parking. They had an outdoor pool that was warm, indoor pool which was nice and cool and a hot tub, which we used daily as we were staying the same building as the pool/spa.

Lots of great outdoor activities to do. Tried out Archery, went canoeing all the way to the end of the river loop and back, kayaking ( can be single or double), fishing by the dock, and lots of trails to go hiking and biking. Wasn't able to do tennis, badminton or the horseshoe game as offered as time flew with the other activities we did. They also offered other extra paid activities such as horseback riding and the spa. There was a horse near the reception building, in a fenced area, which we said hi to every day and made us smile.

The food was delicious! They had daily buffet breakfast at the Eco Lodge, which offered hot and cold items such as eggs and bacon and cereal, fresh baked bread, fruits, assortment of pastries, Couple different kinds of cheeses, and coffee was included. Ate at the same spot for lunch as well for both days and it was good with reasonable prices. We had a 3 course dinner at a different building than the breakfast and it was amazing! Local and fresh products and so tasty! Bought a loaf of bread to take home.

The staff were so friendly and kind to switch to speaking English with us. It's a great place for anyone looking for outdoor activities to do and reconnecting with nature.

This was the highlight of our vacation! We found an amazing deal at Travelzoo for 3 nights with 2 breakfasts and 1-3 course dinner for 2 included. This place is simply magical! We stayed as a family of 4 and this place is very hospitable to children.

The grounds: this is the most enchanting location with beautiful wooden walkways and rumbling rivers all along the property. The flowers during the summer are truly spectacular and they take great care of the grounds. There was a farm, 2 pools, indoor and outdoor and much more.

Activities: there were so many activities to choose from like horseback riding (extra charge), archery, canoe and kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking and more. I wish we were there for longer so I could have tried them all. The horseback riding was truly spectacular.

Food: the food here was absolutely amazing, we had all our breakfasts at the buffet, there were so many fantastic options to choose from and everything was delicious. The fresh baked breads, treats, etc are a must have. The dinner was excellent and artfully prepared. This was a true culinary experience from breakfast to dinner. A note about the food here. It’s 80% local, they use meat from their farm, local cheeses, veggies and fruit.

The service was incredible and we will definitely be back. This place is a hidden gem from Ontarian’s, but we’ll make sure to spread the good word. Thank you for a memorable stay!

My overall experience of the Éco-villégiature Le Baluchon is just WOW. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The amount of activities to be done here is so great it's impossible to do all in only one day stay. The spa is amazing, comfortable and very peaceful. The food is great.
I can't speak for the hotel rooms as I live only 50km from this spot so staying for the night is to my point of view a waste of money. But based on my experience all around the site I'm willing to say the rooms must be as good as everything else I have experience.
If you love nature and relaxation this is THE place to visit
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

In a nut shell, we stayed here for three days for a conference, and found out there are so many things this place has to offer. What was extremely impressive was the food. Simply delicious and different from the typical restaurants especially at dinner time. Breakfast buffet was always delicious with fresh options. And lunch as well. I am.coming back, but this time not for a work event. And if I do come back I would like to stay more day.

I didn't stay the night as I was spending a week in an air bnb in the area. They had a winter promo for horseback riding so I did 1 hour of horseback riding (I called at 8am to book and was able to go at 10:30 am). I them went to the Nordic spa and had a back mud massage. Am absolutely perfect say with wonderful staff who were very accommodating for my lack of French. Thank you!

The location is amazing! It's hidden away far from civilization. Lots of beautiful trails, horseback riding, activities for all the family. 4 star service, great spacious rooms. But there is so much to do around, there's no time to stay in and enjoy a hot whirlpool bath.

This is the perfect time to get in touch with nature, reflect on your self, and regain your health. It is worth it to come here and enjoy food, hiking, cycling, spa, see and pet the animals, the forest and meet the nice staff in the resort. Food is super fresh from the garden, and they make their own honey, and maple. Also try horseback riding. The horses are so adorable, and don't forget to say hi to the watchdog Fifi. She makes sure the horse's path is safe. 😊
The rooms are awesome, and it's big in my opinion, because I'm used to small areas of operation. The eco-village can accommodate a variety of families, single, groups, etc. Get fit by doing outdoor activities, relax and unwind afterwards.
It is best to come here by car because public transportation not available in this area.

Staff was curteous and attentive. They made a mistake in booking spa treatments and they made every effort to correct the mistake (they did), apologize (they did) and compensate us (they did). That's above and beyond normal customer service. Place was clean, food was good. I highly recommend.

I just visited the woods and park behind the hotel, but it is a Very Very nice place for a long walk. Walk along the river, or in the woods, very pleasant and gorgeous views. About 8$ per person, Dogs are allowed. I definitely suggest to try this place. Very enjoyable and very quiet. I LOVE IT.
