I cannot say enough good things about Dr Stephen and her staff. Every experience I have there is amazing. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and go above and beyond to ensure my pet's well-being. I am grateful for their excellent service and recommend them to all pet owners. They need to be part of your pets health care team.
Overall, a top-notch veterinary clinic that I highly recommend.

The staff at NVAHS are unbelievably kind, caring, and supportive. They really go the extra mile to make sure your pet is comfortable, and they all have so much love for animals. They are also very transparent about pricing, booking, etc. The receptionist does an amazing job at communicating everything you need to know, and is so friendly and understanding. This is definitely an environment that you’d want your pets in!

The amazing and delicate service that was given here cannot be described. The friendliness, professionalism, and overall quality of service from the staff cannot be beat. The collective knowledge and flexibility is unsurpassed. Will always recommend this vet clinic, don’t be rude if you can’t get in as they are not accepting new clients. They definitely won’t accept you then.

Dr. Stephen is a wonderful vet. She cares so much about the animals, she takes the time to answer any questions you have fully and completely so you actually understand what she’s doing and why. I am extremely grateful to have her as the vet for my dog, horse and mule.

NVAHS has always been good to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. We lived in Fort St James and they always made room to squeeze us in for appointments when it suited us. The veterinarian is generous with her time and seems to really care about our dog which is nice.

I used to dread going to my old vets but I never do with Dr Stephen. Cori and her staff are absolutely amazing! I recommend her to anyone who will listen. Many of my friends now use her. When all other vets fail and you're tired of wasting your money she's the one you need. I live almost 2 hours away in Prince George. We have several vet clinics here but I gladly travel to see her. I first contacted her years ago when my pitbull was diagnosed with a soft tissue tumor (fibrosarcoma). The vets in town didn`t have much experience with it and couldn`t give me any information or much hope. We saw her, started him on a raw diet, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. He lived another 2 good years. She is so good with my Shar Pei who has skin and ear issues. Dr Stephen and I can always have a respectful conversation and I love that I never have to defend raw feeding, limiting vaccines or any other thing I chose for my dogs. She is always willing to listen to my concerns and try new things. My Shar Pei is a rescue and was really nervous for the first few visits. She now happily goes in to the clinic. Dr Stephen is very busy (because she is so good) but always manages to get us in within a reasonable time frame. I highly recommend her and the clinic.

NVAHS and her staff are very friendly and professional, they treated my dog well before, during, and after his surgery to correct his retained testes. Very grateful for their help with keeping my Gravy healthy :)

Dr. C. Stephen and her team are a diligent and hardworking group of women dedicated to a professional, empathetic, thorough and ethical approach to veterinary care. Our dog is always treated like family when he needs to be seen and there is no other group I would trust to care for him. Thank you NVAHS!!

She did a very good job with my dog Samson. She was very professional. I'm not one to pay a vet because I'm cheap but this one I couldn't figure out out. Thank you so much

These people have zero compassion for any animals or owners not on their VIP list. They refuse to help suffering animals on a regular basis and have let many animals suffer and die because they are the only vet in Vanderhoof and absolutely don’t care about you or your animals unless you are a friend or have already lined their pockets. Vanderhoof desperately needs other veterinary options and this person has repeatedly told vets from other areas not to offer their services here. Disgraceful and our community would be better off without this heartless business.

We lost our much loved dog to this place about a year ago due to the policies of this clinic. As mentioned by others they refuse to see animals that are not already a client. We had always gone to the clinic in Vanderhoof and when it closed I thought we could switch to the NVAHC. However before I could get in there our dog became severely ill and they refused to see him.
We finally got him in to p.g. but it was too late. The vet in p.g. said this could have been treated with a good outcome but it was too late.

If I could put zero I would. Last weekend we were camping by Vanderhoof and my sisters dog got hit by a truck. She loaded him in the vehicle and proceeded to call the vet. She was told because he wasn't a patient there they wouldn't help him. It wasnt even after hours. The poor dog was bleeding everywhere and she had to turn around and drive all the way to prince george. Not only did that poor dog suffer way longer than needed but they didn't even give s damn. As a animal lover I'm sick over it. You should be ashamed.

Recently moved to the area and had a pet emergency and was refused help, and were extremely rude in the process. Also wouldn't suggest alternate places we could go. Terrible.

Dont even waste your time. We have always used them before for our dogs they are rude to deal with. Are dog got hurt and was bleeding really bad everywhere. Needed emergency call out but guess dont matter if your animal is going to die they dont care and they wouldnt help us because we havent been there in 2 years like seriously so now get to drive to prince george and hope my dog doesnt bleed out
