Be careful during apple season when bears come in to town. Here is a black bear just behind the store checking out what is available bear shopping style. Reminded please never approach a bear who wants food. Otherwise, its a great place to pick up essential items on a weekend.

They have everything you ll need . Prices vary, but groceries these days are expensive everywhere. Can say employees are all polite and knowledgeable. Can get boxes instead of buying them shopping bags, which.im sure everyone has a 1000 of them . All in all welcome place in vanderhoof

Excellent grocery store ... Large and bright, great selection and prices, lots of parking, efficient, helpful staff and a PC points card saves you even more...

Nice clean environment inside the store. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone appears to be following the new mask rules. The prices seem a little high but I don't have to drive an hour to a larger centre so I'm happy.

J.I.G.S is NOT your common big box store though it looks like one. I go out of my way, back track if I have too. Not only are the prices reasonable, there is a huge selection in every department and a good variety of specialty foods, quality veggies, fruits and meats, clothing, housewares, toys, cosmetics, books, wholesale, bulk, if they don't have it, ask! There is a Pharmacy as well! the Pharmacist is on the ball in explaining prescriptions and goes out of his way to make sure you understand what you are on. I rarely go there without seeing the owner with his sleeves rolled up... right in there with his staff. I've even noticed him pushing a customers buggy to his car! Rare to see an owner for a store of this magnitude go to that length without calling on staff.

The variety of some foods, and the quality of certain meat cuts etc could be better, but the staff and management are awesome. The prices are usually always the cheapest and they have a big section of 50% off items overby the birthday cards you must check out.

I started to go to Independent when it first opened. What an experience, just like Save on. The store has everything except beds and bedware. But thats ok. I know I should shop in my hometown. I do shop in my own town. But for me it's also an outing! Plus Independent has some things we don't have at home. You know all stores I've been to in my life, the people are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It gives you a nice feeling and you go home happy. Thats one of the reasons I shop at Independent, its just like home.

Good prices, good service and always lots of sale items. Good variety of gluten free products

just visited this place because I was passing through, was neat little store, didn't see any mens clothes just children but all the staff were friendly and smiled when they walked by
