Breakwater Bistro. Bar

Went here for dinner and it took a while for them to notice that we wanted a seat. Once seated however our server was really nice. The food we ordered tasted delicious and looked just as good. I went here for the views and will be going back for the cocktails.

I've always loved Breakwater Bistro. The food is fantastic, the view is great and the staff go above and beyond. Last weekend we reserved for breakfast/brunch for a big group of visiting friends and family. The group kept expanding and the staff were so accommodating and made us feel very welcomed. The service was absolutely amazing. It is a great place to showcase the friendly atmosphere, brunch culture and scenic views of Victoria. Thanks! (Excellent for other meals too!)

This a great place to have dinner, coffee or desserts after a walk on Victoria s Dallas rd waterfront. Good menu selections at reasonable prices. Great nachos. Tonight we had a glass of Grafigna Malbec with chocolate tart.Mmmm. Personnel is very friendly. The view of the pier and the cruise boat terminal is very nice.

Had a crispy chicken burger and and ice coffee on the patio. Super delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. If I could change one thing it would be to add an umbrella over our table but I could have chosen to avoid the sunburn and sat inside. Not the restaurant’s fault. Will come again.

The first place I ate when I visited Victoria for the first time two years ago. Excellent scenery, fantastic ocean view patio, delightful menu options and drinks. Now that I live here it’s become one of my favourite spots!

Lovely place, feels like a dream. Drinking lavender cocktail in front of the blue ocean and snow mountain far away, it’s so unreal.

Woke up decided to come to the Breakwater for breakfast. What a genius idea. My Avocado Toast, scrumptious, my latte, served the way I like it, Euro style, and came with a heart. Music is great, I felt as if I was in one of those restaurants you see in tv. The young serveur was nice, attentive, came few times to check on me. I love this place. I suggest everyone to come here for breakfast. No greasy food here.

Stopped in for some warm drinks on a cool day. Service was friendly. Drinks were perfect. Setting was great and accessible right off the trail. Nice spot!

I love the breakwater. Went in for a bowl of the delicious chowder with my boyfriend and as always, it was great. The London fog I ordered was hands down one of the best i'd ever had. Place was busy but all the table staff were on it! My boyfriend ordered the BLT, unfortunately he wasn't aware that it had cheese on it :( ... but it was a correction they made so quick without issue. Will continue to visit the breakwater time and time again!

Egg benedicts here are awesome! Burgers are good, chicken and waffles less so unless you enjoy the spiciness.

Had the BLT with avocado on sour dough with fries. Super delicious and reasonably priced. Beautiful atmosphere and views.

A great bar & bistro in it's own right that happens to sit on someof the most historical and appealing landscape - the Ogden Point Breakwater.

With a decade-plus history of quality, value-added service to both visitors and residents year round, the menu is excellently prepared, creative flavoured, and both aromatic and visually appealing.

A great dining and socializing experience, soon to be repeated!

Great spot for a bite and a walk on the breakwater. Food was really tasty (burger) and the staff were really nice and attentive.

Wonderful fish and chips. Excellent service and views of the ocean. Definitely worth it!

The food, service, and view are all fantastic! Best crispy chicken sandwich I've ever had.

After walking to the end of the breakwater pier, we took a chance on the Breakwater Tasting Room and were not disappointed. Everything we tried was excellent, including the delicious kale gomae, fried chicken, salmon burger and halibut fish and chips. Dessert was yummy churros. Happily for us, gluten-free options were plentiful. The Tasting Room outside area has a very cozy feel because of the open fire pits in both corners and the warming heat lamps. We had never been particularly impressed with the cafe upstairs, but the new restaurant downstairs by the same owners, where much of the food is cooked in an attached food truck kitchen, was refreshingly good in every respect. Farm to table has gone mainstream — understandably and very happily.

Pretty nice place to check out and have a bit of a stroll! At the end is a small light. If you are lucky, you will have a Cruise ship dock and and wave to the people on there!

I went to a dj party there on the weekend and had a blast. There's a good size dance floor, plus a shuffle board, and a pool table. There are also benches and picnic tables outside with a view of the ocean. I didn't rate the food because I didn't eat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a great venue for a private party. I'd definitely go back.

Excellent location with a beautiful view.

I am a local resident of James Bay and frequently visit Ogden Point for a stroll and a view. This establishment really turned themselves around and our last 3 visits have been exceptional!

Excellent food and service! I was surprised. The heritage salad was very tasty as was the bltc sandwich. Will be back!
