I am giving them 5 stars because it is a great school with some amazing staff. But the staff are quite egotistical and I don't like that the most. In addition the head of athletics Is a great gym teacher and an even better coach.the school is amazing and I have been in Lamont high for almost a year now but they are still a great school. The teachers want the best of their students and if students don't understand something entirely the teachers ask how they could help the students understand. I have personally noticed that the no bullying policy hasn't been backed up at all but other than that Lamont High school and the teachers, students, and athletes at Lamont high have a great personality and they aren't sore losers when they lose a game but they also try their best. NO MATTER how tough the team or work is.

I'll give them one star for at least trying to be a good school, but boy have they failed miserably over the years. The teachers are all egotistical. Maybe one or two actually talk to the students and interact with them with the same respect that they treat other adults, but other than that there's a lingering sense of superiority that looms between them all. Students should be treated on the same level as the teachers and there should be no power dynamic between the two, however that's not the case here. The teachers often think more highly of themselves than the students and they act that way too. Another common recurring issue between the teachers, is that many of them pick favourites and cater to their needs more than any of the other students - treating them with a higher respect than anyone else. This creates a very competitive and uncomfortable environment between both the staff and the students. Many of the teachers also don't even having teaching degrees or degrees in what they're teaching in. Bullying is also a major issue, and throughout the years it's gotten quieter but still continues to thrive among the halls without any of the teachers or principals doing anything about it. The school counsellors (that usually change every two years) also offer barely any comfort or advice at all and seem more unavailable the more issues you have. Lamont High tends to place it's value on the athletes and focuses their money towards funding athletic programs more than anything else. We used to have a band program, but that got shut down years ago. There's a roof that leaks an entire waterfall (and I'm not kidding) every spring down the hallway that the band room is supposed to be and instead of spending the money to fix it, this high school decides their money would be more well spent towards buying their athletes chairs with their logos on them and stickers to put on the windows because they think decorating the school will cover up everything bad about it.

But remember folks. what's beautiful on the surface is not always beautiful on the inside, and Lamont High is proof of that.

Oh and next time, take accountability before deleting my review off of google.

xoxo, Anon.

Talks a big talk about their anti bully policy but falls flat when it comes to backing that policy up. We have been dealing with bully issues for 2 years, have approached hed the school multiple times and yet NOTHING has changed
