Restaurante Banzeiro Manaus

A Manaus institution, still going strong after all the years and a lot of (deserved) hype. One of the places that known how to cater equally well to foreigners and locals, to tourists and business people.

Tasteful food and ambience. Friendly service and fair prices.

Great find. Uber is hopeless in Manaus. We landed up taking a dodgy alcohol smelling taxi driver with a vehicle sounding like its wheels were gonna fall off. Too little $ and too many € but the restaurant landed up doing an e-transfer as we asked for help.
Moral of the story: keep small currency or local and be adventurous.

Rib eye, garlic rice, vegetables and local fish were all delicious. The ants tasted like lemongrass 😉 everything was well prepared. My favorite meal whike in Manaus, it's even saved for a future visit. My phone died before dinner came for more pictures!

Had a lot of food, but the best definitely was the Moqueca Banzeiro.

One of the the best places to try the local cousins in Manaus. The dishes have been executed consistently over the years, carrying the regional flavors that one would expect when eating dishes from the Amazon rainforest.

The waiters have done a tremendous job explaining the dishes and it’s backgrounds.

I highly recommend this restaurant. It's been a very long time since I haven’t eaten a fish as good as this one, the service was excellent and mostly jogo who has provided a high quality service ☺🙏🏼

We are staying in Manaus 3days and last 2days tried their amazing mouth watering cuisine at this restaurant. We are going to try more dish in our 3rd day (tomorrow) too 😋😋😋😋 Their dish just make you smile and you do not leave hungry from this place, Believe me!

Delicious meal with the family! We ordered two pirarucu dishes as well as salad and pastries for our appetizers. More than enough food and the total price was around $110 USD. Restaurant was very busy on a sunday evening and the service was excellent!

Everything at this place was delicious. Matrinxã Assada ao Molho de Limões was my main and it was fresh and tasteful. My entire party loved their meals and everyone had something different. Finish off the meal with the Petit Gateau de Cupuaçu - you won’t be disappointed. The fresh juices are also a must try :)

Excellent restaurante with a regional cusine of Amazon region. The restaurant serves a very good moqueca with pirarucu. Pirarucu is an Amazonic fish with a caracteristic taste. R

Amazing food and lots of staff to try which is typical for this region! Try tambaqui ribs in barbecue sauce! Who likes to experiment there are ants to try!

Great restaurant to sample local food, a classy places with tasty dishes.on local fish Portion sizes are big so best to order a few and share. Service staff friendly

This restaurant has a down-to-earth feel but offers upscale and very tasty Amazonian fare. The signature ant (!) appetizer is a must-have - due to this species' particular diet, the two ants crowning the spoon of manioc foam have a distinctively citric taste - it's like an amazing lemon sweet without the sugar but loads of protein instead. There are also a few vegetarian options. The risottos unfortunately were a bit greasy but still very tasty. We also loved the efficient service.

Oh this place is fabulous. Do not hesitate, just go! The menu is tremendous and the staff fantastic! Many interesting things to try. Do try the fried tambaqui ribs. Wow!
