Kozya Stena Hut

Lovely hut with a beautiful view. Just 50 meters away and above it, at the top of the hill with the memorium, one can see in all directions. See the video that I attached here.

Me and a friend, chose this hut for a weekend vacation because it is easy to get to with a car. You just park on the "Beklemeto" monument (top of Troyan passage) and walk for 2-3 hours along the ridge of Stara Planina.

The hut itself is cozy and you have to be prepared for a warm welcome but tough conditions.

There is running water for a quick wash up, but there is no showers to take a bath. You will want to pray for clouds and take a shower in the summer rain.

There is always some interesting conversation going on in the main hall and a small library with lots of books. There's sometimes events where unknown poets and singers entertain the guests at dawn sitting in circle at the "summer terrace"

Note that the winter makes this part of the mountain dangerous and preparation and experience is a must before undertaking the narrow paths.

So so the food...nothing for lunch one soup and barbecue....

Great hospitality and food! Even though we only stayed for lunch we were welcome. The people had a serene tranquility which was welcome to us!

I slept for 16 hours straight after a long hike the food is nice although they serve tea only in the morning.

Uncanny beauty! A great hut. FromBeclemeto to Kozyq stena is 2.3-3 hours walking. You can get up at Hristo Danovo for 5-6 hours.

One of the most stunning views ever. I love the place and the host Ivan, is great guys and very hospitable.

Хижата е на прекрасно място и маршрутът до там е изключително живописен от която и страна да се подхване. Хижарят ме посрещна на вратата и ме покани да вляза. Предложи ми картофи на фурна, ако съм гладен /нямах предварителна уговорка/. Бях за кратко там. Помолих хижаря да ме разведе в хижата, за да разгледам. Помещенията изглеждат приятно и подредени. Има втора трапезария на втория етаж и библиотека. Голямо впечатление ми направи украсата между първи и втори етаж. Някой се е постарал.
п.п. Който е решил да преспива там е нужно предварително да се подготви, че водата е оскъдна.

Хижата си е хижа. Това не е спа хотел както съвремието очаква а туристическа хижа човек да си вземе глътка въздух, да отпочинат краката и да отдъхне. Не е нужен лукс. Нужно е добро настроение, приятна компания в добрия дух на планинарството.
Хижата е със собствено ел захранване от слънчеви панели. Тока и водата са кът. Разбираемо е, трябва да се пести. На хижарите не им е лесно но се справят. Няма път до нея и им е трудно. Това че не се стига с кола до някъде е предимство че няма хора които не знаят къде са тръгнали.
По добре работеща хижа отколкото заключена.
Тези фондове за къщи за гости трябваше да се инвестират в хижите за отдих и туризъм а не за частни облаги. Заслужаваше си прехода виждаш България от високо. Нашата България. А и еделвайсите. Как щях да забравя. Скрити са от хорския поглед но за сметка на това ги има.

Най-гостоприемният и сърцат хижар (рядко срещано явление сред колегите му).
Локацията на хижата е сред уникална природа. Приготвят вкусна храна и обслужването е много добро.
