This unsuspecting little tavern is quite likely the best I've tried in town so far, and I've tried a fair few!
The food is so full of flavour, generous amounts of the good stuff in each dish, fresh as can be ingredients...
Service was wonderful too. Very friendly, smiles all around, fantastic suggestions and even some goodies "on the house" for no other reason than them being lovely people.
There's a small enclosed outside area with a couple of tables and a cute traditional interior restaurant with a big roaring log fire.
Couldn't recommend it more, however remember to bring cash as they don't have a card machine.

Amazing local food: soups, salat, grilled vegetable and grilled meat. Homemade rakija with pickled cucumbers. At the and desert and coffee. Warm and smiling “mama Lily” and her husband George. Excellent expirience in Bansko.

Our favorite restaurant in Bansko! The meal was authentic, locally sourced and absolutely delicious. The only thing better than the food is the hospitality. Dining here feels like being warmly welcomed into a home by the loveliest hosts. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Very highly recommended.

The place is not that big and a bit hidden in between the old houses, but it’s nice. It’s run by what it seems a middle age family that are very friendly. The food is amazing - quite delicious, the sizes of the dishes are bigger than advertised, the have home made salt that is with interesting flavor, the bread is also really nice and the traditional ayrian is home made with good quality milk. The prices are normal - we ate for about 30 bgn each.

We stumbled upon a hidden gem of a restaurant in the heart of the city. Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere, with the aroma of veal filling the air. Our hunger was immediately piqued.

We were greeted by the owner, Lilia, who welcomed us with a friendly smile. She recommended the veal or lamb meat and we decided to take her advice. We started with a lamb soup as an appetizer, and it was clear from the first bite that this was something special. The quality, temperature, and garlic bread all came together to create an outstanding taste in something as simple as a soup.

The main course was equally impressive, with succulent lamb and a variety of grilled vegetables that were sliced to perfection. It was simply fantastic and left us in awe.

Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it over any other restaurant in Bansko. It truly is a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Immediately upon sitting down, the owner got our vibe and just served dish after dish of the finest Bulgarian food, plus a few dishes on the house. All with a lovely personal touch and attention. Everything was super tasty. Far from a tourist trap, this place was authenticity good.

If we could leave this place a 100* review we would! The most authentic delicious food in Bansko. The restaurant is run by a small family who make you feel so welcome. We were lead by the hosts recommendation which made us try food we wouldn’t usually order, it was the best decision and we were extremely happy with all the food put in front of us! The most wholesome experience and such a high on our holiday! Please don’t leave Bansko without visiting uncle George and his family!

This restaurant is incredible. Honestly we felt an abundance of love from Mother Lili and her family. Uncle George found us looking for a place to eat in town and we were so surprised by this beautiful home -turned restaurant down the cobbled streets of Old Bansko Town. We had the pleasure of trying authentic Bulgarian dishes such as Chicken Soup, Garlic flat bread and a grill. They were made with love and the hospitality was simple amazing. They are truly a hidden gem. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone. May God continue to bless them. All my love, the Londoners Yaso and sabe xxx

Price is fair. Food is delicious. A charismatic vigorous lady accepts orders and gives recommendations you can't not ignore!

Great place, cozy little place, I think it s a family business. The guys there are very friendly they can recommend u the traditional Bulgarian food. The portions are big and very cheap. It touched my heart and I'll definitely go again. ❤

If you are looking for an authentic bulgarian experience and exceptional food that is extremely affordable this is the place for you! Amazing service, the owners are super friendly and the location is right in the heart of the old town of Bansko! Definitely recommend this place for couples, families and big groups!

We discovered this gem a couple of years ago, and then tried to find it ever since. Last night we hit the jackpot.

Aunty Lili and Uncle George were amazing. Not just thier genuine hospitality, but the fact that we didn't need to choose what to eat, and we were advised to have the following....

...House salad (the best in Bansko so far), massive stuffed peppers, roasted lamb with vegetables, a jug of local red wine, local digestive spirits, and a bucket load of laughs.

I can't recommend this place enough, away from all the places dragging you in with free beer and photos of the generic Bulgarian food.

And of course the price.... like a lot of places in the town its extremely reasonable. ( the photos were taking after we tucked in, sorry we just couldn't wait)

This family restaurant offers reasonably priced, delicious national cuisine. Just be aware that the chef takes a break from 15:00 to 17:00 or 18:00. Great spot for a budget-friendly, authentic meal!

Amazing hospitality. Uncle George indeed knows best. He was so sweet to our daughter too which warmed my heart. Delicious meatballs, shopska salad, chicken wings and chicken kebabs.

Don't bother going anywhere else. You need to try what Lelia Lili has to offer.
