What an awesome cave! The best part is the guide, Kayulian who speaks fantastic English so you can enjoy the tour, hearing all about the history and changes happening in the cave. It's fascinating and Kayulian is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the cave so 45 min goes by in a flash! The cave have some special effects like Hollow shapes formed in the rocks, creating unbelievable sounds. Kayulian told me they used to hold concerts in the cave, I can only imagine how amazing that sounded with the unique dome shaped ceiling. I highly recommend visiting the cave on weekdays if possible when it's not so busy. The drive is easy and beautiful, lush green landscapes as far as the eye can see. Entrance is 6lv. There's a small snack shop with Coffee. Tour is every round hour, last tour is at 6pm. After take a short drive to Cherven Fortress to enjoy an amazing sunset.

Really nice cave to visit in the Ruse region. The tour was bilingual in Bulgarian and also English. They seem to be acquainted with foreigners. Tour lasted about 45 minutes and was really interesting. This cave was different from the one's we have visited so far. Entrance is 10 BGN per adult. Temperature is 14 degrees all year round. So it was really pleasant especially since outside were 25 degrees :) going down to the cave entrance means going down a few sets of steep stairs. So have this in mind.

The Orlova Chuka cave is situated at a distance of about 40 km from Ruse, near the village of Pepelina. The cave was found in 1941 by a shepherd who was shepherding his flock in the region.
Nowadays, about 3 km of the cave are accessible and illuminated for the visitors.
People enter the cave in groups (not more than 15 people) at every round hour. Taking pictures in the cave is allowed, but lighting of fire, disturbing the animals which inhabit the cave, as well as visiting the raw galleries of the cave is forbidden. It is also forbidden to visit the cave within the period of 1 November – 1 April; and during the rest of the year the tourist visiting is only allowed within the time between 9 am and 5 pm. Information materials and souvenirs are sold in the site. People enter the cave only accompanied by a tour guide.

An interesting 2,000,000 year old cave. A really great tour guide. A bit of food available at the end. Tours leave every hour.

Parking is free and you can buy there a coffee or even something to eat.
Ps - don't miss the viewpoint next to the cave entrance.

You have to go down several stairs to reach the entrance of the cave. It's a long cave. I saw some bats too. They have a guide who speaks Bulgarian and French (he knows some words in Romanian too). He made the visit enjoyable. The tour lasted 40 minutes and costs 6 leva per person.

Beautiful cave, the guides are informative and there is a great picnic area to rest up after coming back up. Also note the views!

The entrance fee was 6 leva/adult. They have a guided tour, but the one we went with was apparently in bulgarian so we didn't understand anything from it. The cave itself it's gorgeous! Totally worth the visit. On maps you will see two parking lots, I recommend you to leave your car in the first one, that's 100m from the cave, because the one that's closer to the cave is unpaved, and it was really muddy when we went. There is an area designated for picnic if you're into that and a view point with the most wonderful view I've seen in a while.

Amazing guided tour and one of the largest caves I've visited. The temperature inside is 14 C, so wear something warm.

Tours go on the hour, last entry 5pm. We had a seasoned local take us round on an audio-visual multilingual extravaganza, showing the various features, singing in the concert cavern, demonstrating the acoustic properties of counter, all good fun! Some imagination required to see shapes in the stalagmites, but that's provided if you share a language with your guide. Luckily, we had French in common, just...

Great place. The gentleman that organizes the tour provided a wonderful experience, with vocal singing and harmonica. He speaks French very well.

Very nice cave, with bats inside.
The entrance is a little bit difficult to get (for old people at least) due to some high stairs.
Even if the guide speaks english, he explains only in bulgarian.

Different kind of cave, totally worth visiting - the visiting area is not long, inside is flat, no stairs, not very narrow so is easy to see it. There is a parking area, not very big. Up to the cave's entrance indeed there are some stone stairs, but they're not so many and so difficult. The tour are guided and start every hour (10.00, 11.00 etc)

A very unusual and interesting cave. Highly recommended. This was the only cave in Bulgaria, in which the explanation was more scientific. Prices were low, staff was nice and overall experience was great.
