The Lavender Lodge

We stayed at Caroline’s house for a wonderful weekend in October. She is one of most welcoming people we have met and she took great care of ua the whole time we were there. She is a great cook and provided wonderful meals, catered to our vegetarian needs. The room had everything one would need including a fireplace which made the nights extremely cosy. Bonus points for the cats and chickens. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend for a romantic getaway or a change of home office scenery.

Exactly what we needed! Caroline is an outstanding host and one of the most kindhearted people I’ve ever met. She went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The lodge has the perfect mix of privacy and comfort, whilst also allowing chats and company with Caroline and the animals if we wanted to. Leaving here was very difficult. We will definitely be back. :)

The Lavender Lodge is experience so different from what we are used to. It is cozy, it is beautiful, it feels so special and it was like we were at home with family.
Our host Caroline was amazing, so gentle, so thoughtful and helpful in everything. Her hospitality is next level. She knew we are with kid, so she bought for him puzzle and chalks, she gave him vegetables everyday, so he can go and feed the chickens and she was always caring if he has everything he maybe will need. She doesn’t mind if he is running around in the garden or yelling or making mess, she was so so sweet and great with him. He even called her granny, because he thought of her like she is family.
The breakfasts and suppers are homemade by her with things from her garden and eggs from her chickens, and everything was absolutely delicious. When an Irish lady makes you Moussaka and after that you lick your fingers, you know you are on the perfect place.
The house and the garden are like paradise. Everything feels so special there, every corner is a little surprise.
The house has everything you will need. Comfortable beds, sitting areas in the garden, dining area, place for a bbq, kitchen, bath, wi-fi, sun-beds in the garden. The village is very nice for walks. In the area in about one hour drive are so many things to do - museums, pools, wine tasting, monuments, sweet villages, places for picnic and walks etc. Caroline organised for our kid to go and ride a pony with her friend in a village 45min away and it was amazing experience.
I can write all day for this place, but you should go and see and feel everything on your own.
Caroline, thank you for your hospitality, for the opportunity to meet you and know you. We had really great and special time in your little paradise. Thank you that we felt like we were at home. Thank you that we felt like we are family!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Lavender Lodge and our host Caroline was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we could possibly need.

The place has a wonderful garden and a big sunny yard with an amazing chill zone. The lodge has a marvellous and authentic rustic interior.

The food was awesome and most of the ingredients are handpicked from the garden. The pets are just adorable and very friendly.

The location is a short drive away from the freeway which makes it very convenient.

We definitely recommend a visit for a nice and quiet weekend getaway. Thank you, Caroline, for being such a good host and see you again soon!

The host Carline was so friendly and accommodating. She left the essentials for us on arrival (including a beer 😀) and couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable. She also communicated with us before the trip providing details on shops in the area, exact location, etc. which was very helpful.

We opted for the meal which was delicious - Caroline basically cooked exactly what we asked for and it was the best meal we had during our travels of Bulgaria. The breakfast was also delicious. Everything was fresh and organic.

The area is so nice and peaceful surrounded by nature. Caroline has a beautiful garden and seating area which was very nice for relaxing during our stay. This was the last stop on our travels of Bulgaria and really was the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend Caroline’s place to all traveler's and to opt for the meal as you won’t be disappointed.

Really nice place to stay for the night, Caroline was really amazing with the warm welcome and with the cooking. The pizza was great 👌
Its a bit overpriced for the whole service, taking to an account the location.
Overall I would recommend and maybe visit her again.

To anyone reading the review section; Do not hesitate to book your stay at the Lavender Lodge! We cannot begin to describe how amazingly we were treated with so much love and care. From the second we arrived to the moment we left, Caroline made us feel very special. We chose to dine in two nights in a row at the lodge and twice we ate in the beautiful rustic outside kitchen. Temperatures are dropping in this time of year, so each time we got back, she had the fire going for us outside and it was just such a romantic site to see. It made our hearts filled with appreciation. The dinners were delicious and cooked with local produce and organic vegetables from her own garden, which is just what we love. Even the wine was local and if you've never tried Bulgarian wine; It's a must! The breakfast had freshly baked bread, eggs from the chickens, homemade jam and quality butter!! Next time we are in that area, we won't think twice to stay there again. A lot of love for you Caroline, you are an amazing being! <3

We had a great evening here with friends and got to enjoy Caroline's great food. Caroline is a warm, loving and very friendly Person We were able to get an overnight stay for friends there at short notice and have dinner together in the evening in the outdoor area in front of the open fire in a great atmosphere. A really wonderful and very nicely furnished lodge. The rooms were with fireplace and very cozy and feel very good. Thank you very much for the great evening yesterday. We will surely come back soon. Many warm greetings from the neighboring village :-)

Owner of this place is one of most kind people on the world. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. She rents you a tent in her garden. You should bring blankets, pillows etc. by yourself. Have Wi-Fi. She prepares delicious breakfasts. We went to there for Midalidare Rock Festival and it takes 20-30 minutes to go festival zone with a car.

The lavendar lodge is cosiness, delicious food, homey atmosphere, a feeling of being really spoilt and looked after.

My husband and I have just spent a lovely long weekend at the Lavender Lodge. Caroline, the host, could not have been more welcoming. She went out of her way to make our stay memorable, which it was. Peace and tranquility in a lovely location. We arrived as guests and left as friends. Thank you Caroline for your wonderful hospitality. We look forward to visiting you again soon.

A very calm and quiet place, with a very kind host, always smiling and constantly looking after our comfort. She even helped us charge our electric car so that we charge less on our way back (a lot of trouble to get a socket close to the vehicle with the bad weather, she is just awesome!)

If you enjoy quiet places, be sure to stay throughout the week. Throughout the weekend, the village springs back to life.

Be sure to try the pizza and the curry! The breakfast was also fantastic. We came for just a night, but we couldn't help it and stayed another despite our initial plans.

If you are in this area, deffenitelly go to the Lavender Lodge! The vibe is amazing, this host is the best and her good is great. You can chill in her garden, she has a nice fire place outside where you can eat outside and sit by the fire. Highly recommend this place♥

The decor is amazing! I loved the small details and the touches that Caroline gave to the place! She’s amazingly sweet and it was pleasure to Eve her guests and have dinner with her. A 100% romantic experience!

Perfect getaway in the countryside. A place to relax, have some wine and eat the delicious meals Caroline makes. We felt like home.

This beautiful gem is hidden in a smol village, but it is beyond all expectations! We experienced joy, calmness and hygge like no place has ever offered to us. And to top it all off, Caroline is the loveliest host we have ever had!
