Snowflake Chalets Bansko

We had the perfect stay. The place was spotless, had great facilities and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The hot tub, sauna and refreshments in the chalet were amazing.

There were 14 of us, and the hosts made a different breakfast for us every morning before skiing upon our request (and at any time that suited us)!

We really appreciated the personal touches from the hosts as they coordinated our ski transfer each morning, gave helpful recommendations for Bansko and made sure to bid each of us farewell at our various departure times.

Our stay in the Snowflake chalet was amazing!

Svetlana (the owner) was extremely helpful and really friendly, communication was spot on. She really went out of her way to make us all feel welcome and arranged our transfers/ shuttle bus to the slopes and gave recommendations for food/local grocery stores. Svetlana prepared a variety of freshly made breakfasts each day, at a time of our choosing, which were delicious.

Location was perfect, a short walking distance high to local bars/restaurants.

As for amenities, the hot tub and sauna facilities were easy to use and perfect to relax after a day on the slopes. The accommodation itself was spotless, well designed and cleaned regularly with fresh towels and bed linen.

Fantastic host, very clear house, near everything! Fully enjoyed and we definitely choose it again!

Firstly I have to mention the amazing food. I've never been so well fed! Dietary requirements were happily catered for and catered for extremely well. Each evening meal was well planned out and delicious with excellent portion sizes. We were greeted each day on our return by an amazing home made cake and snacks.

Everything was taken care of our transfers to and from the airport, lifts to the gondola, ski hire, ski pass etc Everything went super smoothly because of Rachael and Josh's excellent hosting.

The chalet itself is lovely, all rooms come as en suite and even the lower down rooms have amazing views. Super comfy sofas for relaxing in the evening in the living room. The Hot tub and Sauna were a welcome treat after a day skiing.

Would 100% recommend Snowflake Chalets even if you just go for the amazing food. A big thank you to Rachael Josh and Graham for making us feel so welcome and at home.

The chalet are on a walk away distance from the centre in Bansko. The owners are very kind people with warm hearts and easy going hospitality. It is a good place to feel like home and in the meantime to be away from the daily tasks. In pricing matter everything is affordable and fresh. The owner was very kind to let us use his barbeque and even gave us some nice ideas in regards to the cooking. It is worth it to visit this place. 5***** highly recommended !!!

Had such a great time here! Rachael and Josh were amazing hosts! They sorted out everything for us from transfers to ski lessons and trips to the hot pools. The chalet itself was great, cosy, clean and had a couple of areas to chill out after skiing, not to mention the hot tub and sauna!!! It was in the middle of both old town and new town which were moth a short walk away. The food was incredible! Good hearty food after a day of skiing and catered for all requirements... as well as cakes and snacks on return after skiing..... and the unlimited beer and wine!It’s great value for money and I couldn’t recommend snowflakes chalets enough!! Thanks for a great time!!

An amazing week in Bansko staying at snowflake chalet! Rachel and Josh are awesome hosts and couldn’t do more to make us feel welcomed and at home! Josh’s food and menu was amazing, especially considering our dietary requirements. The chalet was homely and pristine, we especially loved the hot tub. Staying at the chalet really made our holiday and we can’t thank Rachel and josh enough for making the experience one of a kind. We can’t wait to come back and create more amazing memories!

Such an ideal place to stay - everything was so comfortable and easy. The breakfasts were delicious (Svetlana made a big effort to make what we liked as well as traditional Bulgarian treats). Everything was always spotless when we got back from the slopes and the hot tub was a real treat. The rooms, bathrooms and living spaces were beautiful and cosy - it made us feel very relaxed after skiing. The location is also ideal and the ski shop were super helpful and convenient. Fantastic family ski trip staying at Snowflake Chalet. From booking to departure, Rachael & Josh have looked after us and all our needs so well, plus their new addition to the team Graham.
The chalet is modern, spotlessly clean, well equipped & the food is to die for, Josh’s menu is a constant conversation, from the afternoon cake waiting for us after a great day on the slopes to the amazing meals every night. Plus the hot tub & sauna, a great place to chill out & relax with a beer or glass of wine. Can’t recommend Snowflake chalet more, keep up the great work guys

Very cosy and clean.
Both houses are freshly refurbished. Well equipped and with spacious bedrooms.

The in-house parking is small, but there is a large community one 100 meters away.

The heating is with natural gas and really convenient to manage.

As of the host, she wa really friendly and courteous.

We had an absolutely fantastic week staying at Snowflake Chalet. Rachael and Josh are fantastic hosts, happy to help out with any requests or questions we had, helping us to organise a few activities in the evenings such as places to eat and a visit to the local geothermal baths. They also managed to strike the perfect balance of being fantastic company but also giving us the space to enjoy being away as a group of friends.

Any review of Snowflake Chalet has to include the food! The food is all cooked from scratch and is of such an amazing standard. We had a mixture of meat eaters and vegans in our group, and they could cater to that with absolutely no problems and with some truly phenomenal dishes.

The chalet itself is situated within 5 minutes walk of the bottom of the gondola and can easily be done with ski boots on, but the lifts from Rachael and Josh were always appreciated! The chalet is also within a couple minutes walk of some of the best eateries in town, so if you want to eat out you never have far to walk.

Hosts were so friendly and added that personal touch to everything down to the food, which might I add was amazing.. Cheese cake was unbelievably good.
The location is ideal and the chalet has been done up to a really high standard I'm already missing the jacuzzi and the snow.
10/10 would highly recommend and I do plan to come back

We had the best stay at Snowflake chalets. The food was incredible, perfectly cooked by Josh, Racheal couldn’t be more helpful and Graham showed us the best Bansko has to offer!

The skiing was great in Bansko for all levels of Skier and Racheal was very helpful in arranging equipment and transfers etc.

I couldn’t recommend this place more, the hot tub, Sauna, afternoon cakes and unlimited alcohol were all great extras, the place is sparklingly clean and the rooms are cosy and comfy after a days skiing. The stay was value for money and we’ll definitely be heading back for a break over summer to experience what Bansko has to offer as the area is beautiful.

Kathy and I had the most amazing time at Snowflake Chalet!

Where to start?
The Chalet was so inviting and welcoming! Josh and Rachael were awesome hosts and really made us feel right at home. Our bedroom was nice and spacious and included a balcony. The bed was super comfy, perfect for a tiring day of skiing. The Hot Tub is great, really relaxing and nothing better than going from one extreme temperature to the other! And the Sauna is a great addition too for getting over the chills you may experience. The living room was really cosy, great for a movie night!
Snowflake Chalet's hospitality was outstanding! Rachael and Josh really looked after us over the week we were there. From keeping the food coming, making sure the drinks didn't run out. They even took us to awesome places like the naturally occurring thermal mineral pools in Banya and they transported us too the Slopes everyday in the morning!

Josh's Food menu... Wow! Seriously this dude can cook! We couldn't get enough... literally! The food was so good. It's exactly what you need everyday after a hard days work of shredding the slopes. The Dining area was perfect place to chill out next to fire, gloss over the day, and eat some truly spectacular food! Really hard to pick favourites, but if we were to, my favourite was the lasagne with cheesy garlic bread and traditional Bulgarian Salad. Still get a watery mouth thinking about it. Kathys favourite dish was the amazing Thai Curry, which was polished off rather quick!

What I'd recommend is, you stop reading this review already, book as soon as possible. And if you don't fancy the cold, they're open this summer too!

Here’s a bit about Bankso!

Kathy and I went out for my birthday with Josh and Rachael, they showed us around the old town of Bansko. They has some really beautiful old style family restaurants, which also had some great tasting food and wicked cool company!

Bansko was a real surprise, we really didn't expect how awesome it would be! The bars were rad, one of our favourites was bar 360 in the Winter market. The Gondola was surrounded by some cool pubs and cafes, so if you ever need a pick me up at the bottom you won’t be let down!

The ski resort was great! I learned how to Ski and was ripping it up and going speeds unknown to man! It was all thanks to our teacher Teetto (lets be honest, the teacher was for me, Kathy was shredding like a pro already) and of course Rachael and Josh had a massive impact in making us do daring slopes!
I totally had a melt down at the top on my birthday, which was hilarious for everyone! Sometimes you just have an off skiing day.

Anyway! Hope this helps! If you ever come to Bansko, you’ll have a blast.
But what will make it 10000000000000x better, is if you book up and stay at Snowflake Chalet with Rachael and Josh!

We had a perfect stay at Snowflake who gave us so much more than just a ski holiday. The food was absolutely superb as was the hospitality from both Josh and Rachael, the chalet was clean and perfectly located for the town. It was a pleasure to stay there and would highly recommend to others.

The best chalet I have ever stayed in. Racheal & Josh we’re so lovely and the food they cooked was incredible - especially the daily afternoon cakes! Lovely clean rooms with all the mod-cons, as well as a hot tub and sauna to enjoy! Great value for money, can’t believe everything that we got...could not have asked for anything more!

Everything was perfect, good location, nice host, very clean and comfort, managed with high attention to small details for making the experience there great.

Wonderful chalets in the center of Bansko. Everything was exceptional and our group has a wonderful time.
