Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak

Visited the Thracian Tomb as well as the houses of the time. We did this as part of a guided day trip from Plovdiv. There are several tombs in the Kazanlak area but this is one of the few you can visit. There is lots of information to read. We went on a Sunday early afternoon and there was only a few people there, so no need to wait.

A great example of how to preserve thousands of years old heritage - making a replica for tourists to visit! It's a small space with historical photos and recreation of the trakian tomb.

One of the things you must see when you are in Kazanlak.Great peace of history. It is a reconstruction of the original,you must know,but still leaves you speechless with the beauty of details and accuracy in anatomy and execution. It is inexpensive so you must visit it.

İt is really interesting and nice to go, however if you go to this place without any information and idea where you are going you may get bored or unhappy. İt is really small place, a lot to say and a lot to show, but you need to know how to read the signs, what is this, from where is coming and all other general info that you can find in the web. There is an entrance fee around 3 euro, you can take pictures and you can buy some souvenirs. There is parking place close, but you need to walk a bit after. İt is good for young and teens and all ages :)

Small but so beautiful. The stuff is really friendly and willing to answer any questions. The entrance is limited to 4 persons because the space is small but still, it's worth the wait (if there is any) and one can learn so much history

If you are in Kazanluk and you want a trip back in time then you have to visit this original Thracian tomb from the 4th – 3rd century BC, situated in the Tyulbeto park.
For easy to understand reasons, the original tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is closed to public access but an identical copy of it, located in the immediate vicinity, can be visited daily from 09.00 to 17:30. Taxes are 6 €/adult and families benefit from a reduced access rate (4 euro / adult + 2 euro / child, pupil, student).

Beautiful Thracian tomb full of interesting wall murals. It is small, so it will take you around 10 minutes to see and read everything.

Must visit! Albeit, this being a replica of the original tomb chamber, go and experience. Such an incredible example of Thracian history and traditions.

One of the historical heritage listed Unesco world heritage!! It’s located in kazanlak city center.

Interesting how an almost 2700 years old place survived the millenia. The tomb is an exact replica of the real one, which is just a few meters away. Nice little shop with memorabilia as well.

The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak is a unique tomb dating back to the 4th century BCE! It is really amazing and totally worth a visit.

Great place for casual walk and fun with family and kids

Unusual place. Inside you can see just a copy of tomb's interior but it worth seeing. Up to 4 people are allowed. The acoustic is really great! And the murals are unbelievable.
