The cave is partly artificial and partly natural. Very steep stairs help and anyone in good shape can make it, but in spite of the freshness of the cave you will probably perspire. The temperature inside is about 10 degrees and it is humid due to the spectular cascade and river inside. After climbing you emerge in the sun and can see the wild river and buy some tea or souvenirs.

Worth a visit. It is a real big cave as such. You have to pay to get in but not expensive. Mind you, you have to do some stairs. But i side is really huge.

One of my favorite caves - it is not big/lomg per se nor does it have a lot of structures (as it is a young cave). However it houses one of the largest in-cave waterfalls and the only room is absolutely humongous. It is also connected to local mythology (primarily the Orpheus myth is connected with this cave). The sense that this place gives is otherworldly!

Amazing cave with stunning views but due to steep steps it is not for everyone.

This cave is in one of the most beautiful areas in Bulgaria. The parking lot is in the spectacular Trigrad Gorge. The cave cost 10 leva and was open on Christmas day of 2023. However, I wish that they'd have a website or a working phone number with which to check if they are open. We could not find out whether or not they would be open that day so we just drove there. I have visited a couple times now, and because we were a large English group they gave us a paper with the information on it in English and let us right into the cave, without waiting for the next Bulgarian guided tour. We like it better this way! The main room of the cave is large and the stream of water is small in comparison. The so-called 42 meter waterfall is a series of cascades, not a single drop. The flight of stairs are difficult for elderly people but doable for able-bodied people.

If you are a cave lover then it's a must visit. The main feature is a cave waterfall that flows deep under the cave system for almost 2 hours. The name of the cave comes from the roaring sound that is produced as a result of the waterfall.

Absolutely outstanding cave at the heart of the Rhodopes mountain! The main chamber is tremendous and one cannot avoid staring at it for 10-20 minutes. It could easily fit 2-3 Olympic pools. The bursting river which goes through it is also amazing and one of the main attractions because it suddenly appeares and disappears in the cave. The main road to Trigrad leads to a parking next to Devil's Throat Cave. I would definitely recommend visiting it in any time of the year!

We arrived early, and visited the cave with the first group. The metal stairs are a little bit slipery, so if you are going to pass all the way, be careful (there was the option to go back and exit trough the entrance) After the exit, you can try tasty home made honey, and buy if you like it.

Dreadful place, the roaring sound of the underground water falling from 60m height is deafening. On the way out, you have to climb 288 very narrow stairs.
In 1968 after a big storm, 500 cubic meters of wooden logs were carried away by the flooded river and into the devil's throat cave, but none of the logs ever came out on the other side

The best time to visit this cave is on weekdays or on public holidays there are two choices: either early in the morning before 9:00 AM to be the first one and get a parking place in front of tha cave or to go there in last day of the holiday when the crowd is gone. However in both cases you are about to view the mystical place ranked in the world 42-th place according to National geographic, especially for the way of the river inside the cave and the stories about it. Where thet truth, still nowbody knows.

This must be too 10 caves in europe! You can feel like dwarves in Moria! Specious chamber with hundreds of steps are amazing. Not very crowded, however. The cave is very close to national park so you can spend there even for a couole of weeks.its hard to show how amazing it is in the pictures.

This is an amazing place with even more amazing story behind it. I would recommend that one dresses appropriately, given the fact that the cave has a year round temperature of only 8 degrees Celsius.

The cave is impressive by itself, but what I really loved was the river gauge. The scenery is truly breathtaking

Quite scary getting up the steps but definitely worth it. This cave is something else and is worth checking out. The entrance fee is 6 leva per person

The cave is unbelievable. We visited it with our 3 years old toddler. The stairs at the exit were a little difficult to climb for the child, but the overall experience was great.

Great enormous cave with water full, can't see much of the water full but the noise is loud. Highly recommend for every body for 10 Bulgaria Levas per person. Great legends about it. Very steep lader at the end for the most adventurests. Aprox 20 min route. Will come again!

Amazing place with very fascinating and somewhat mystical history, a must see! Be prepared to climb some 280+ super steep and sleek steps inside though.. it's all part of the experience - highly recommend!!!
