Very nice beach, it is very beautiful. Partly organized, but with very few sunbeds, so most people bring own stuff. Water is quite clean but it is getting deep rapidly and there is a small hill at the entrance to the water.

Amazing place. When you are in the sand you have the sea in front of you and the river and swamp behind you. It’s nature’s best art. Peaceful and quiet. Water level gets deep fast but that is also cool as you can enjoy waves. There is wind surf school at the beach.

Amazing beach with river and sea. I even made it on the dirt road with low and sensitive car if you drive carefully it's possible

We really loved this wild beach. The Veleka River flows right into the sea and although the current can be strong from the river to the sea, you can cross by foot to the other side. So beautiful to turn back and see the greenery behind the river. The sand is a bit coarse from shells, so I would recommend some flip flops. There were a couple basic bars serving beer and coffee, but you still get the wild beach feeling from this place especially when we went in early June before the start of the summer season. Lovely.

Second to none of the Bulgarian Beaches. Must visit in a lifetime. Sand is with large grains, but not too much. From the one side is the river Veleka, on the other obviously the sea with not so steep seabed. Not so crowded and not fully occupied by beach bars.

There are probably 4 or 5 places on the Black Sea coast left untouched by developers in the whole of Bulgaria.
Veleka Beach is one of them thanks to the protected status of the whole area. Humans are still relatively few even in the peak of the season, and the place will never feel crowded.
There's few good beach bars, yoga, windsurfing, and kayaking.
Great fun at Veleka Estuary.

Unique beach, on one side wavy Black sea, on other - calm Veleka river.

Beautiful and unique beach, caught between the Veleka River and the Black Sea. Visiting the place is a close to the nature experience. The sand is coarse grained. The clean sea waters are deep near the shore but the river is shallow at first. You can enjoy both, but in strong winds and wavy sea the river is always welcoming. You can have a drink at one of the too beach bars or enjoy the services of the local kayaking and surf school.

Best beach in Bulgaria, but must check if there's wind. The road down is very rocky but doable slowly and carefully, it is worth the trip. They have food prepared on the location for lunch at slightly higher prices but the soup was fantastic as well as the fries. Drinks are generally higher priced because of the accessibility. I recommend it.

The beach is small and it seems the sea ate some part of it for the last year, but it will give it back I guess. I think the place is great, but if you do not like deep water and strong winds you can try the river itself. Water is clean, but quite deep and with waves, which must be taken into account. Just go there, it is a place to see.

Amasing place. River and Sea. Dusty parking place. Sea side is not very suitable for kids as it is getting deep very fast but river side is ok.

Great place for people who like wild style. No rush just chilling there. Overpriced but good! Toilets and parking lot there 👍

This is my spot. This is the place where I love coming back to the most. You can take a ride on a kayak/SUP/windsurf/catamaran or you can chill at the Wind&Water bar with an Aperol Spritz watching the waves (or both). It’s a very decently maintained beach with good facilities that have not taken over the beauty of the beach. Enjoy!

Probably the best beach experience in the south. Great and spacious. Magnificent nature! Great combination between beach bars (and paid area) and huge free zones. Recommend!

Superb beach, double beach. Sea side is steep and waves can be dangerous. River side is calm and suitable for small kids. Very beautyful beach ❤

Beautiful beach. If the waves become too high
you can always go for a swim in the river. There are also a few beach bars around and you can hire a kayak or paddle board. However, they do not accept card payments, so you will have to bring some cash with you.

I love this beach! It is amazing! But you have to know that the water is deeper than the main beach and there are a lot of waves that you should be careful.
To go there: there is a small dirt road just before you enter the city.

Love it here two different sides to beach one with river and beach and one just beach. So relaxing and the food here is insane. Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere.

It's unusual place where the river poors into the sea and it goes round the beach sands, so the beach looks like a peninsula surrounded by water and you can see the green in the back. The place is unique for Bulgaria, so deffinitely must see. Be careful cause the depth of the sea increases after a couple of steps

Not only the scenery is amazing and with plenty of activities to do around like water sports, yoga, fishing and hiking but most importantly is the most pet-friendly beach I
have ever been to. #pet-friendly
