Ardennes American Cemetery

In memory of those who fell in the Ardennes during the Second World War

Belgium 🇧🇪 and 🇩🇪 Germany united.

I was at the Ardennes American Cemetery this past week. A beautiful tribute to our fallen soldiers during WWII. It was special seeing this with snow on the ground. Beautiful chapel. Thank you to all the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. We owe our Freedom to your sacrifice.

Our family visited on Veterans Day 2022, marking the 5th American Cemetery we've visited in Europe. It was just as impressive and wonderful as the others before. Although small, I am always brought to tears. Most notable to me, on this day, was the number of Belgian, Dutch and French families that were visiting the American Cemeteries, bringing flowers, wreaths, prayers and their families.

No words can express how amazing this place is. My family is grateful for the work the American Battle Monuments Commission does to protect and honor lost American Hero’s ! My great uncle was here from 1945-2019 as a unknown, he was positively identified by DNA in 2021.

Had the honor and privilege to visit The Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial today. What a beautiful place for the fallen to rest. Great job to the caretakers of the place. Also a special thanks to the Assistant Superintendent for the overview and discussion. Your passion and love for taking care of our fallen is very apparent. It really means a lot.

I love how it s all clean and properly cultivated. Impressive size. Crosses are beautiful set in a row. Good for walk and relax.

A somber memorial, but beautiful setting. There is a visitor center, bathrooms, a chapel, and plenty of parking. If you're an American visiting the Bastogne area, it's worth a side trip.

My father visited his brother's grave after WWII, and will never forget the kindness and reverence shown by the Belgians. I look forward to visiting my uncle someday.

My sister and I visited this cemetery mainly to see our uncle who was killed in WWII, I was greatly impressed as to how well it was kept up, not a weed in sight. Actually it was beautiful, the caretaker met us there and answered all of our questions.

Neuville-en-Condroz, where my maternal family lives. They survived the Nazi's invasion into their homes because our brave American soldiers arrived, killing and pushing them out. Many Belgians and villagers still take flowers to grave sites in honor of the soldier's families. A must see to truly understand the routes, sacrifices and bravery they made to win WWII battles. #WWIIHistory #BattleOfTheBulge

The grounds are beautiful and there is ample parking it is also wheelchair accessible
