Really nice visit. This is a church that has it all, museum, crypt, chapels, archaeological excavation and an inner patio.

You can visit the whole place in just 30min to 1h. It’s not that big, and the museum is quickly viewable. The treasury has many gold artifacts including relics and other objects made from wood and/or ivory.

Don’t forget to visit also the Bergportaal, it’s really and incredible entrance.

The price is only €4,50. Debit was accepted.

There’s a self-help tour that costs 4.50 Euro to get to the inside the main church. Make sure you get a pamphlet before entering the main church. It’s a great way to donate to the church and you’ll get to see the main chapel as well. It’s a win win situation.

This basilica has this amazing strong church scent, a room with history slideshows and other valuable artifacts. It’s a beautiful cathedral.

A must see in Maastricht!! Part of the Basilic is converted into museum. There is a map-guide (included with a 3€ ticket) describing the most important elements of the church. So the self tour is sufficient.

Fantastic basilica which is the largest Romanesque church in the Netherlands. St. Servatius is saint patron of city of Maastricht. The treasury contains impressive collection of Christan artifacts i.a. relics of St. Sevatius and St. Cosmas & Damian.

The Basilica of Saint Servatius is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Servatius, in the city of Maastricht, the Netherlands. The church, already the fourth in a row, which was erected on the tomb of the saint, since 384 years. You can enter the basilica from the side of Charlemagne Square (Keizer Karelplein). From here, they also enter the Treasury (Schatkamer Sint-Servaasbasiliek), where the cup and cross of the Holy One, precious caskets, precious metal products, silk, and ivory are kept. It receives visitors from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, on Sunday - from 12:30 to 17:00. Admission to adults will cost 4,00 €; children - 2,50 €.

I have seen a lot of churches al over the world but this basilic is a special one. After paying some charges you can freely explore the basilic and the big collection of treasuries.

Located on the Square of Vrijthof and next to St. John's Church, Basilica of Saint Servatius is of Roman Catholic Origin, which could be dated back as early as 570 AD. Mainly in Romanesque Style with the influences of Gothic and Baroque during its extension and restoration, it is a rare find even in Europe where These Architectural Movements were based. With its long history, there is no shortages of Treasures at this Basilica.
Renowned as the Birthplace of Euro, Maastricht is Rich in historical Buildings: the Basilica of Our Lady, another Romanesque Styled Church that might be dated back before 11th Century; St John's Church in Gothic Style that was founded in 14th Century; and a 17th Century City Hall on Market Square; etc, etc. Plus the Architecture of former St. Lambert Church that was completed in 1916 is also very impressive. Maastricht is a hidden gem awaiting for your discovery indeed. Two photos attached.

It was closed when we went, but the building is beautiful to admire from the outside. Never seen a cathedral made from this type of bricks

This is the central church on the main square of Maastricht.
See the opening hours because you can’t enter whole day long.
The little chapel is open much longer.

Simply beautiful. I've heard there was an entrance fee, but to visit the common area of the church it was free of charge, and the paid visit to the extra areas was already closed at 4:30pm, but it was worth the visit anyways. Although there is not much rooms to visit you can spend some time if you like to pay attention to architecture details. Although there are many tourists it is still a really good place to pray and think.

Very beautiful! A must when visiting Maastricht! Do not forget to vidit the treasury, where you will find some amazinv artifacts and relics. There is an entrance fee, but is small (3 euros only). Be aware that in the Sunday afternoons there might be different religious concerts inside the church, but you can still visit the treasury.
