Fixed Gear Coffee - Cauberg

Excellent coffee and vegan homemade cakes.

One area of improvement: the waitress could be a bit more friendly and helpful. It felt like she didn't really know what she was serving.

Speciality cycling cafe on the famous Cauberg. The right place for any cyclist/coffee lover. Great coffee even better bikes hanging on the walls, I must for anyone looking for a good cup of Joe. Lockers for rent, free repair station and a merchandise store = a must see for anyone passing by.

I was with a group of Japanese friends and we were so delighted to take a break at Fixed Gear Coffee. The friendliness and coziness of the place makes it feel like a home away from home. My Japanese friends were surprised to find a Japanese comic book in its bookshelf. We learned that a famous female Japanese cyclist also visits there.

This is absolutely my favourite cafeteria in the area. Cafe lungo and the cakes are very tasty.

Glorious coffee, delicious and plentiful vegan cakes and baked goods, lovely space for both serious bike nerds (vintage road frames on the walls!) and everybody else.

Small store with surprisingly AMAZING coffee! The guy was extremely nice, the decorations are very cute, generally, a great stop!

Very nice and cosy place for cyclists, tourists and locals to have some delicious coffee or a nice slice of cake! I will definitely go back as soon as I can! They also provide some parking spaces for your racing bike, so that you don't have to park it outside.

I went there briefly after christmas and was so positively surprised about the place. Didn't think such a great coffee place was hiding in this touristy town. The city was extremely crowded at that time and the only thing I wanted is to get away from the crowds and enjoy a great coffee. It wasn't very obvious to me that this bicycle shop also offered coffee but considering the name I gave it a try. The Barista was extremely polite and great knowledgeable when it comes to coffee and the coffee itself was just one of the best things happening to me that day. Thanks :-)

I JUST LOVED THE PLACE, WITH ALL THE PIECES OF HISTORY OF DUTCH CYCLING!!! THE OWNERS ARE SUPER NICE, THE COFFEE IS ONE OF THE BEST I EVER TRY, AND ALSO HAVE SUPER NICE CYCLING BRANDS FOR YOU

Definitely the best specialty coffee and cakes in Valkenburg. Worth a visit even if you don’t ride the bike. Besides the coffee the store offers cycling apparel and a small workshop for bike maintenance.

Also we found this the perfect spot for a daytrip to Limburg with a parking garage next door! Routes are available too.

Just wonderful. Quiet place, a lot of magazines about bikes. Very good coffee, dolche cappuchino and amazing cheesecake. I do recommend to take a break here.

This café has a great and unique style with the many beautiful bikes hanging from the walls and on the tables. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Great selection of coffee and hoemmade cake!
You can park your bike inside and also do some repairs yourself in the DIY workshop.

This is your coffee spot if you are craving for a good coffee, and nice place to enjoy it! My partner and I accidently passed this beautiful authentic spot and hadn't had good coffee for a while. The owners surprised us with their amazing barista skills, and great conversation. The spot has a young, vibrant look & feel that I really miss in Valkenburg. Looking forward visiting it next time.

Amazing place for coffee and cake, right at the bottom of Cauberg. I visit these guys pretty much after every single ride on my way home. These guys just opened a new place in Maastricht as well, make sure to check it out.

Valkenburg is a cute little coffee shop at the start of the Cauberg, so whenever I feel tired before climbing the Cauberg I'll go there and get a doppio for sure! The staff is just like in Maastricht very attend and helpful!

If you ride then you'll particularly love the race bike display, the rack to safely park up your own machine and the DIY service bay.

Then there's the location: it's the perfect stop to recharge and meet or make friends before invoking your inner Phil Gilbert as you take on the Cauberg... Or just relax with your favourite brew, enjoy race action on the big screen and talk more bikes n gear.

Awesome atmosphere, insanely cool bikes and great coffee. Brian and Shivani were super interesting to talk to also. Would definitely recommend for cyclists and non cyclists alike and well worth the trip from Maastricht.
