Shah Makhdum Airport

I recently traveled from Dhaka to Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi, and I found the airport to be a convenient and hassle-free option for reaching my destination. The airport is small and easy to navigate, with clear signage and helpful staff available throughout the terminal.

The airport's facilities are basic but functional, with a few shops and cafes available for passengers. While there are not many amenities, the airport provides everything necessary for a comfortable travel experience.

The flight itself was smooth and on-time, and the arrival process was similarly efficient. The airport is located close to Rajshahi city center, which made it easy to travel to my final destination.

Overall, I would recommend Shah Makhdum Airport for anyone traveling to Rajshahi. While it may not have all the amenities of larger airports, it is a convenient and hassle-free option for those flying into or out of the region.

Very cosy and neat local airport. Service is good. Security is tight but not over enthusiastic. Only one snack shop but you should try the coffee. Have prospect to become an international airport especially to connect with India and middle-east.
Update on March '23: A lengthy facelift is on the way for the last couple of months that may take another few more months to finish but possibly will not do much practically as the square feet are merely change...the risk now a day is the lack of proper security check which may pose a potential threat as Rajshahi is a potential entry point of illegal things from our neighbouring country...

Shah Makhdum Airport is located at Rajshahi. It's a very small domestic airport, and can accommodate very few flights at a time. Though small, their service is quite good and the airport staffs are very cooperative. Apart from my experience, I went to bring my brother from the airport who is coming from the UK. However, there are drivers (of CNG, Auto-rickshaw, private Cars etc.) who wait in front of the reception gate; they are pretty disturbing. The visitor might get into scam as they charge very high rate of fares from the visitors, especially from the foreigners. So, be careful on this and if possible, if you are travelling for the first time, do contact your hotel for airport pickup.

I recently had the pleasure of traveling through this airport, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Everything was seamless and efficient from the moment I stepped inside the airport to the moment I boarded my flight. I hope the authority will take steps to make some updates and expand for more new routes!

Domestic airport at Rajshahi. It's compact and simple and only smaller aircrafts can land, however there is no mayhem and craziness like there is at Dhaka airport.

There was a nice environment in Rajshahi. A busy airport, waiting area extension work is in progress.

I reached just 5 mints before my flight but they allow me to board my flight, thanks them. I travel from this flight frequently, it is a small airport but very important for its location. I stay in Naogaon, it's just 1hr from airport, so i need 2 hr to travel for Dhaka but if I take car then journey will be minimum 5-6 hr.

Domestic airport, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. This is fourth time I have visited Rajshahi. In the small arrangement, you will have facilities Tea-Snacks. Just outside of the building, there is mosque. I found the environment is homely.

Rajshahi divisional domestic airport. small airport and now domestic passengers traffic increasing now. Airport service are moderates two ATR Biman can taxing at a time.

Shah Makhdum Airport is domestic airport in Rajshahi. Passenger seating, security check and boarding service are quite good as a domestic airport.

It's 12km away from Rajshahi City. In car/cng it will take 30min (due to under construction of road) to reach the airport.

US-bangla, Novo Air, & Biman are operating their flight in morning and afternoon.

Nice but the it would be better if the runway of airport gets reconstructed.
But the indoor environment of this airport is good.

As domestic air port, it's a good airport. Low traffic.

Nice place to visit. Going through renovation and hope that after the renovation it will be better. As well as the service area and the waiting areas will be more customer friendly. The Rajshahi city is the beautiful city and I hope the management of Shah Makdum Airport Authority will make it as beautiful as the city in 2024.

This airport is used to land flights from Dhaka only. But far from rajshahi city. Natural environment.

It's a very beautiful road in Rajshahi. It's an airport zone.

It's need to more decorations and maintenance for showing beautiful.

As the departure lounge is being updated hopefully in future the airport will provide even better service. But currently it is congested during rush hour.

It is a domestic airport. Connected with the capital city Dhaka only. Runway are about 2k.m
