Église Saint-Élie de Tihaljina

It is one of the most emblematic and beautiful places in Bosnia. Having seen this church with the beautiful image of the Virgin of Tihaljina is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me in my life.

Located approximately 30 minutes from Medjugorje through the beautiful Bosnia Herzegovina countryside, this church is a popular destination. An Italian made statue of Our Lady of Grace has been attracting countless visitors for many years. It's beauty is stunning and seems to be more alive than a statue. The church also has some paintings and murals to enjoy. The group I was with was attending a mass when some Italian cyclists we passed along the way, stopped in to see the church. They were very respectful and joined our group for mass. Outside there are more statues and scenery to take in. The nuns have a gift shop on site. Not far from the church you can also visit the Kravica Waterfalls.
